‘”They both played and it looked like they did well,” said head coach Chan Gailey of Pears and McGee. “We’ll have to see, but Mark Anderson was back, he did well. We had most of our guys back. Brad was really the only one that missed practice.”‘

‘The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed CB T.J. Heath and TE LaMark Brown to the Practice Squad.’

‘You would like to go in with 10 corners but you are lucky if you get as many as we have. We are fortunate we have six that we believed in and now we are down to five. We have to keep hoping Terrence (McGee) progresses the way he has progressed this far. There have been a couple of minor setbacks but, really, no major setbacks. If we can just keep working I think it will be good for the entire season.’
Bills becoming popular playoff choice on ESPN
‘On Monday morning, ESPN.com released their expert predictions where nine of the 16 experts chose the Bills as a wild card team in the AFC playoffs.’
LB White regains special teams role
‘”He is getting better every week. He’s getting stronger. He’s getting quicker. He’s getting more comfortable back playing again,” said Gailey. “He had his best game the other night, which was big for him and for us because we all know how good a job he did on special teams last year.”‘
Bills prepare for Wildcat package
‘”The things you prepare for are the history. What that offensive coordinator’s done mixed with what [the Jets] did last year. Obviously, there are going to be some new plays they haven’t done, but Tebow has done a lot of those things in Denver. A lot of the things he was successful at in Denver, I’m sure they won’t vacate those.”‘
Howell survives longest day
‘It was definitely the longest day of my life, waiting for 9 p.m. to see if I made the cut or not,” Howell said. “It was a great experience just being able to come here and compete for a job. I’m definitely blessed to be here.”‘
After zigzag path to NFL, Fred Jackson has top billing in Buffalo
‘”He told me, ‘I think you’re talented, but you’re not good enough to play in the NFL,'” said Jackson, who in 2011 was the league’s third-leading rusher with 934 yards when he suffered a season-ending broken leg in Week 11. “I was highly motivated after hearing that.”‘
Bills ink 5 to practice squad, including WR Easley
‘Easley is back with the Bills after being cut by the team Friday. Selected by Buffalo in the fourth-round of the 2010 draft out of Connecticut, he missed his rookie season due to a knee injury, and last year because of a heart condition.’
Bills surprise by keeping only four wide receivers
‘”I think if you have been around (general manager) Buddy (Nix) and me long enough to know that nothing is ever set. We are always looking for different ways to improve our football team. I doubt what you see today will be what shows up next Sunday,” Gailey said.’
Strategy And Personnel
‘WR Naaman Roosevelt, who starred at St. Joseph’s Institute in Buffalo and the University of Buffalo, was among the hard cuts the team had to make. Roosevelt, a two-year member of the club in various capacities, led the Bills in receptions during the preseason with 10 and did well on punt returns. He’s used up his eligibility to be placed on the practice squad.’
Bills like versatility that Dickerson brings
‘The Bills kept two fullbacks, returnee Corey McIntyre and free agent Dorin Dickerson, who turned heads all camp with his versatility. Dickerson can play running back, fullback and tight end and Gailey said he envisions using Dickerson in all those roles: “He will be a fullback, he will be split out and he will be a tight end. That is one of the things that attracted us to him, is his versatility. He can do all of that and he is fairly effective at all of it. He has some learning to do and some work to do, but he is an extremely versatile football player.”‘
Bills add 5 to practice squad
‘Wide-out Marcus Easley highlights the list. The Bills’ 2010 fourth round draft pick had a slow start to training camp and the preseason. He had an impressive outing against Detroit last Thursday, returning a kick-off return for a touchdown. Receiver Kamar Aiken also joins Easley.’
Former Carvers Bay star joins the Buffalo Bills
‘The Bills mark the fifth team in Geathers three year NFL career. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns after being drafted in the 6th round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks and the Cowboys.’
Bills name five to practice squad
‘WR Kamar Aiken, WR Marcus Easley, DL Jarron Gilbert, CB Isaiah Green and C David Snow were all signed to the practice squad Sunday.’
