‘This game will be a tough battle don’t let the Browns 0-2 record fool you. They are a tough, young team with a lot of talent and upside. The Bills will have to play a very good game to come away with their first road win since opening day last season. They are due for a road win and they know they have to get this one with New England and San Francisco waiting the next two weeks. I think they will get it done in the first barn burner of the season: Bills 20, Browns 16.’

‘”Chan is a creative offensive coach and we like it. We’re not predictable and that’s how you create a good offense,” said Eric Wood. “Some weeks we’re going to run the ball a ton, some weeks we’re going to pass the ball a ton. A lot of it has to do with what the defense is going to give us. I don’t think you can stamp this offense and say we’re a particular type of offense. We’re just trying to be whatever is going to work.”‘

‘Cleveland’s comfort, however, is that since 2000, the year Buffalo’s absence from the postseason began, it has had two winning seasons, the 9-7 in 2002 actually producing a playoff berth.’

‘”The Wildcat looked like it was the first time we’d run it in a game, that’s what it looked like,” Gailey said. “It’s got rust all over it, and we’ve got to polish it up, get it ready to go in the future. And we’re going to continue to use it as many weeks as we see it being a viable part of our offense. So you’re going to see it some more. We’ve got to add some stuff to it, we’ve got to put in a few more things. But I like where we’re heading with it.”‘

‘But you never know what Buffalo team you are going to get. If Buffalo can stay healthy and play consistently, they could give the AFC East a run for the money.’

‘But as NFL tight ends go, he’s got some get up and go, and because he can turn short plays into big plays, and can get open in the red zone, Chandler has become one of Buffalo’s most reliable weapons. “You saw it last year, especially the beginning of the year the way he was able to catch some of those touchdowns early on,” said Fitzpatrick, who has thrown eight TDs to Chandler since the start of 2011 including one in each of the first two games this year.’

‘”We are continuing those negotiations and we are close to an agreement, but the one thing that I will say is that the report in the Buffalo News was not accurate,” Brandon said. “We will not be playing more regular-season games in Toronto.”‘

‘Spiller has rushed for 292 yards on 29 attempts — 10.1 yards per carry. He is the first player to average at least 10 yards a run through his team’s first two games — minimum 25 attempts — since Brown started the 1963 season averaging 11.3 yards (394 yards on 35 carries). Spiller also is the second Bill to rush for at least 100 yards and a touchdown in each of his first two games. Simpson did it in 1973 and 1975.’

‘”He has the speed and he’s a big guy, too,” Schwartz said. “He’s one of those guys you have to be on top of your game for.”‘
