‘Before he was injured, Jackson rushed for 15 yards on six carries.’

Bills’ Johnson active for Sunday
‘Johnson, who was dealing with a groin injury, had his reps limited Friday after not practicing Thursday.’
Bills Grounded by Jets; Jackson Hurt
‘The Jets capitalized on yet another Fitzpatrick interception for their next score in the second quarter. After the Bills QB threw another pick to New York’s Kyle Wilson, Sanchez connected on a deep pass to Stephen Hill to make the Jets’ lead 14-0. New York struck again after Buffalo went three and out on their next offensive possession. Kerley returned a Brian Moorman all the way for the score to make it 21-0 Jets.’
Sideline Reactions: Jets 48 – Bills 28
‘Speaking of personnel decisions, what the heck was the point of dressing Brad Smith and Dorin Dickerson in that game? Again, I’ve yet to review the game footage, but I don’t recall seeing Smith or Dickerson out on the field once. Those are two active roster positions that went unused, while a player that they brought in to conceivably stretch the field (T.J. Graham) stood on the sidelines in shorts and a Bills t-shirt.’
Jets loss is tough to swallow
‘Leodis McKelvin had such a great preseason, but he was beaten all day by the Jets slot man Kerley. First, it was a 12-yard touchdown and then Kerley went 68 yards on a punt returned where Ruvell Martin lost containment. Yes, that’s the same guy that the Bills picked up this week because of his coverage abilities. Honestly I’ve never been impressed with his coverage.’
I Feel Like Charlie Brown
‘Every unit and almost every player(except for C.J. Spiller and John Potter) was awful.’
Hot Reads: Bills/Jets
‘The Jets were 10/14 (71%) on 3rd downs against the Bills. That’s atrocious from a defensive standpoint. The pass rush was non-existent. Receivers were wide open. Tight ends killed linebackers….again. Pick your reasoning, they’ll all be appropriate and accurate.’
Bills Breakdown
‘The Bills problems were much larger than that. The Jets exposed the Bills secondary as young and vulnerable. Without a pass rush they’re in deep trouble.’
Bills ”Embarrassed” by Jets
‘So where do you start with this one??’
Unacceptable and Embarrassing For Bills
‘I had been reading articles talking about Chan Gailey being on the hot seat this season. My initial thought was that I did not follow that mindset. But when a team plays as poorly as the Bills played in week one, it puts everything in doubt.’
Immediate Reactions: Jets 372, Bills 28
‘Ryan Fitzpatrick was simply awful. What kills the spirit is that his interceptions weren’t “gunslinger” picks where he tried to fit the ball into dumb spaces, they were just horrible decisions. The first one was him laser-eyeing Stevie Johnson. The second was an inaccurate throw to a wide-open receiver. The third was, well, among the worst interceptions you will ever see in this game of American football.’
Bills humbled in 48-28 loss to Jets
‘Buffalo’s offense suffered from the turnover bug, committing four on the day including three Ryan Fitzpatrick interceptions, while the defense could not get off the field on third down. The Jets didn’t punt until the fourth quarter, converting seven of their first nine third downs. On the two third downs where they did not convert they kicked field goals. Even special teams gave up a return for a touchdown in a very humbling opening performance to the 2012 season.’

Transcript: RB C.J. Spiller
‘I mean of course it was disappointing whenever you lose a game, especially a division game. We’re a much better football team than what we displayed today. Just the turnovers, the big one that I had with the pass. That was huge. We could have probably gotten some points out of that. I think if we just clean that up, I think we’ll be fine. The main thing I told the guys that I kept preaching on the sideline is that we can’t let this one loss define our season. Of course we wanted to win, but we didn’t. We can’t let this one loss define our season. We just have to correct the mistakes and get back to work and get ready for Kansas City. Of course, it hurts. The guys in the locker room, everybody’s hurt because we wanted to win it, but we can’t do anything about it now.’
Jets Embarrass Bills 48-28
‘Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three interceptions, one was returned for a touchdown as the Jets blew out the Bills early and beat Buffalo 48-28 on opening day. The Jets also returned a punt for a touchdown in opening up a 27-7 halftime lead that swelled to 41-7 before the Bills made the score a little more respectable with three straight touchdowns in garbage time. C.J. Spiller was the lone bright spot with a career high 169 yards rushing on just 14 carries and a 56 yard touchdown run.’
