‘"He and Fitz (Ryan Fitzpatrick) have a great feel for each other at this point in time. He’s made some plays down the field. He’s a big target. I see nothing but more positive things happening for him in the future.”‘

Practice Notes – Day 2 – D-line jelling
‘”I feel like we’ve all hit the ground running,” Dareus told Buffalobills.com. “It’s crazy. I like the feeling of everybody together. The camaraderie, the way we feel with each other. The way we’re playing together. Everything feels like it’s coming together, slowly but surely. I can’t say there’s a feeling we’re going to do this or do that. I just know we’re going to go out there and play the best Bills defense we can play.”‘
Anderson quick to make an impression
‘"Explosive – that’s the word that comes to mind when I think of him," said guard Andy Levitre. "He’s just really quick. He’s got a lot of good moves and he uses them quickly. He’s dangerous on third downs. He’s a play-maker, for sure."’
Rookie free agent Carmon an intriguing prospect at left tackle
‘”I failed the physical with the Ravens,” he said. “It was about something that was in my shoulder. But I came up here and did my physical the next day with the Bills, and they cleared me to play.”‘
Buffalo Bills’ Vince Young looks to reboot his career
‘”My whole thing is just try to make every play count, let (head) coach (Chan) Gailey and (quarterbacks) coach (David) Lee know that I’m studying and working hard and trying to get up to speed to what Fitz is doing with the first-team offense,” Young said. “That’s all I can do.”‘
Young winning Bills backup QB job?
‘”I’m just now getting into a rhythm, starting to understand what’s going on – the different plays that coach Chan was calling and who he was trying to get open,” Young told QMI Agency following the afternoon practice. “I’m just taking my time with it, taking it one day at a time. It’s all I can do.”‘
Bills receiver waiting for groin to pop
‘”I didn’t know anything about this, but I guess when you get groin surgery the scar surgery (has to) pop every time,” Johnson said following the morning walk-through on Day 2 of the Bills training camp at St. John Fisher College.’
Fitzpatrick throws birthday bombs
‘Fitzpatrick had the kind of day that will look good on video when he reviews practice with the coaches. At one point, Fitzpatrick found a small seam in the coverage and fired a bullet to the sideline, right in the big mitts of fullback Corey McIntyre. The big man turned up field and ran into the end zone much to the delight of the fans and the rest of the Bills offence.’
Bills CB McKelvin escorted off after feeling ill
‘With a wet towel on his head, McKelvin walked without assistance while being escorted off the field by a trainer. The mid-afternoon practice was held under a mostly cloud-less sky with temperatures in the low 80s.’
Camp starts on Saturday according to Gailey
‘Last year there were no OTA’s or mini camps due to the collective bargaining going on. Gailey said this year camp looks so much better, “I feel like we’re much more on the same page, we’ve got a lot more things ironed out, we’ve been able to add a few wrinkles that we think will help us down the line. I see us being a lot further ahead than we were last year.”‘
Bills Pick Up the Pace in Day Two
‘”Tomorrow is the start of camp,” said Head Coach Chan Gailey. “When you can put pads on, that starts camp. This other stuff is good and important. It helps us, but you really start to find out about your football team when you put pads on.”‘
Hairston, Glenn Battling For Starting Left Tackle Job
‘”Right now i’m just trying to get better every day, just trying to help out my teammates,” said the rookie Glenn. “Just trying to compete with everybody, just competing and getting better so, that’s my focus right now.”‘

‘On rookie LB Tank Carder having a nose for the ball: Yeah, he has gotten his hands on more passes defensively than maybe any other player to this point, which has been pretty impressive. It would be hard not to notice him on the field. He has a nose for the ball. He has some instincts. We will see when we get the pads on. Some guys do it better. Some guys do not do it as well. Some guys keep doing it just like they have been doing.’

‘You know it is not about talking anymore about what I can do or what happened in the past, or how good things were in the past. You just have to go out and do it. And that is all I have been concentrating on. It is not one of those things I really think about. It is just going out every day and working.’
