‘”I’ve got my good and bad days. I haven’t been able to practice yet, full speed or whatever,” McGee said. “I’m really just trying to come out here every day, work hard with the strength coach and getting my strength back in my leg. Really just trying to get ready for training camp.”‘

Bills’ Barnett is using OTA’s wisely
‘”It is a different experience. I’d rather be here than anywhere in the world with our guys in here and doing what we love to do and learning a new scheme. It’s not too different from what we were doing before but it is a challenge to learn different things. I walk out a lot more on number two than I did last year. There are a lot of different things that I’ve got to get used to and that’s what OTAs are for.”‘
OTA Report – Day 5
‘FB/TE Dorin Dickerson is being given a unique opportunity to add a different dimension to Buffalo’s offense as an H-back, something the Bills attack has lacked the past couple of seasons. “He’s more of an H-back type player than an on the line player,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “He’s good enough to block on the line some, but to say down in and down out that you would ask him to go line up against big defensive ends we wouldn’t do that. So we’re going to try to take his abilities and work things around to let him be successful.”‘
Transcript: OTAs Day Five
‘Year two I want to do better than year one. First and foremost I want everybody to be healthy and really play to the best of our ability and bring the defense out further than the defense has been.’
Forgotten Bill joins teammates in Hall
‘"My job was to pull them together," Jacobs said of his interaction with his more-celebrated teammates. "Two years ago at one of the Bills Alumni gatherings, Mike Stratton and George Saimes thanked me for putting them in the right place at the right time. Every time. That really meant a lot to me."’
Early impressions of Bills
‘The first thing that hit you is that head coach Chan Gailey and his coaching staff were all business as they try to get their team ready for training camp.’
Bills QB Fitzpatrick getting crash course from Lee
”’My approach to this game has always been so mental in trying to be the guy that puts our team in the best position to win,” Fitzpatrick said. ”I knew I had a long way to go with my mechanics. I just didn’t know how to find that person or how to improve at it.”’
Contract talk not bogging Bills’ Byrd down
‘”I’m here for another year, and we have a chance to do something really cool this year, so I’m excited about that,” Byrd said on Tuesday. “That’s really all I’m thinking about.”‘
Jacobs to be inducted into Greater Buffalo Sports HOF
‘”Ralph Wilson did a wonderful thing bringing me to Buffalo,” said Jacobs. “Lou Saban obviously had a big hand in that, but Ralph kept me here. We’ve lived in the same home since I’ve been here and all three of our children were born and raised here. Same house since 1966.”‘
Times are different now for Sheppard
‘"You know when you’re in the locker room you see young guys, sometimes you can really tell they don’t love the game of football, even though they’re good players. He loves to play football," Barnett said. "He’ll study. Last year, I don’t think I’ve ever had a rookie come to my house as much as he did since I’ve been in the league to watch film. So I think he’s a student of the game. If he continues that mindset, he could be one of the greats."’
Kyle Williams using caution in comeback
‘”As the day goes on it does get a little fatigued, but that’s part of the getting-stronger process. I’ll get sore at night, but they said that’s how it’s going to be. While I’m working, it’s been all right.”‘
Young impresses QB coach
‘”What happened to him is (Tuesday) was really the first day I heard him confident in the huddle,” Lee said. “We’ve done so much installing, and adding, and adding, and adding. His head’s just swimming.”‘
Offseason Breakdown: Buffalo Bills
‘The Bills are built to be a playoff team in 2012.’
Bills LB Sheppard poised for breakout season
‘”I think he potentially could be one of the best linebackers Buffalo has ever seen,” Bills linebacker Nick Barnett said after Tuesday’s practice. “If he has his head on straight and continues to grow the way he’s growing the way that he plays. He could be a great player.”‘
Bills DT Williams cleared to resume practicing
‘Williams took part in nearly half the team drills with the starters on Tuesday, when Buffalo opened its second week of voluntary practices. That’s a step up for Williams, who participated in just a few snaps per team session last week.’
