‘I think we all know the type of player he is. Terrence (McGee) is an extremely good football player and has proven that on the field in big ball games, he’s proven it. So I see Terrence as one of those guys that we’ve got to make sure is healthy and let him get as many reps as he possibly can. Hopefully he can play a bunch for us this year. That’s what we’re looking forward to.’

QB is Brad Smith’s chief title now
‘”From every meeting I’ve had he’s been in all my meetings,” said Lee. “He’s a quarterback who happens to be a great special teams player and he plays a lot of receiver also, which is where he was used last year. But he still has a role at quarterback in this offense.”‘
Charity finds NFL friends
‘In 2007, Thomas moved back to Buffalo – what he considers "the best move" he ever made – and decided to get into businesses that he knew about. From growing up in Houston, surrounded by energy businesses, as well as enjoying cigars during his glory days, Thomas decided to launch the Thurman Thomas Global Energy Group in 2010 and Thurman Thomas Cigars in January 2012.’
Stevie Gets On the Field
‘Next week there will be four sessions of Organized Team Activity. In two weeks the Bills have their mandatory minicamp.’
Only one thing matters to the Bills Spiller
‘Spiller wants to win badly and he notices there’s a difference this season in the fans and the city too, “It is a big buzz around town. This town they deserve it and we haven’t been good lately, but at the end of the day we look good on paper, but we still have to go out on Sunday’s and get the job done. It’s not going to be overnight, we’ve still got to push the envelope towards to goal that we’re trying to accomplish.” So the obvious question is how do they accomplish that goal? “We need to be consistent throughout the season, no matter if we win a lot or get down so we’ve just got to be consistent and learn how to put a game behind us and go on to the next one.”‘
OTA Report – Day 6
‘”My first OTA as the guy manning the slot and trying to be the guy is crucial for me,” Nelson told Buffalobills.com. “It’s something I’m taking seriously and I’m really excited about it. Fitz has done a great job. We get a chance to go against a great defense every day in practice and that’s something we have to take advantage of and get better every single day.”‘
Transcript: OTAs Day Six
‘We’re just trying to put a lot of playmakers on the field. Obviously the coaches consider me as one of those guys. I’m just trying to learn as much as I can and earn different things. They want to use my talents so we’re going to see how it goes. We’re experimenting with a couple things with the whole running back room. I’m looking forward to it but I’ve just got to continue to get better each day.’
Public should know
‘There is a bottom line to the question about the lawyer fees Erie County is paying to the legal team helping to negotiate a new stadium lease with the Buffalo Bills, and it is obvious enough that County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz should be able to understand it: The county is spending taxpayers’ dollars in a matter of taxpayer interest. The fees are public information.’
Jasper’s mass has new appeal
‘"I was only home for 2 1/2 weeks after the season ended," Jasper said. "I’ve been here since late January, getting in shape. I’ve done some amazing strength work with [strength coach] John Gamble. … Weight is no longer a factor. I’m in shape and I’m doing what they ask me to do."’
Young adapting well with Bills
‘If Young isn’t happy about backing up Fitzpatrick in Buffalo, he’s doing an amazing job of hiding it. So far he’s saying and doing all the right things as he adjusts to life with his third team in three years.’
Bills’ Gailey faces new dilemma in backfield
‘”I’ve always thought the more touches you get as a running back the better you get,” Jackson said after Tuesday’s practice. “To get that experience definitely was something that I think he needed. It was something that helped him grow as a running back. We got to see his potential.”‘
Fitzpatrick learning the finer points of passing
‘”Now for a guy to come in and say, ‘This is why you’re missing that throw low,’ or to actually have evidence for me to look at and say ‘OK, it looks like that’s something I really need to work on.’ For a guy to be as respected as he is, to be as knowledgeable as he is, that’s somebody that I’m going to listen to every time. I knew I had a long way to go with my mechanics but I just didn’t know how to find that person or how to improve at it. He’s going to be a very big help for me this year.”‘
Strategy And Personnel
‘”They had to go in and clean it out,” said Merriman of his surgery. “I had some small tears and just constant beat on it trying to play and practice week in and week for the last 2 1/2 years. I’m glad they went in and did it when they did because if they didn’t who knows. It could have been one of those things that’s much tougher to come back from.”‘
Williams returns from his injury
‘Middle linebacker Kelvin Sheppard, a second-year pro from LSU slated to start in Buffalo’s new 4-3 scheme, reported for organized team activities a good 10 pounds lighter than the 248 pounds he was listed at as a rookie. At his current weight, he said he feels “more comfortable and more explosive.” Said Sheppard: “I’m not 260 right now I can tell you that, like when I came into training camp last year. I just know what’s expected of me now. I know in the 4-3 defense you don’t have to be at 255-260. You have to be able to go sideline-to-sideline in this defense and be able to cover the receivers and tight ends up the seam. I’m just a lot more familiar. I know my body and I know what I need to do.”‘
Report: Ex-Eagles President May Be Interested in Buying Bills
‘Howard Eskin of WIP in Philadelphia reports Joe Banner is looking to buy an NFL team, and in addition to be the Bills, may be looking to buy the Cleveland Browns or the St. Louis Rams.’
