‘We’ve learned a ton about individual players over the last few weeks. We’ve been able to install a lot of our offense, defense and special team so we’ve gotten a ton out of this. It’s certainly a lot better than last year’s offseason work.’

Football junkie Clowney looking for chance
‘"I love the game of football," Clowney said after practice this week. "Even to this day I say I don’t understand how guys hold out. I’m a player. I love to play football. The money isn’t a big deal to me. I just want to play football, at the end of the day that’s all it’s about to me, playing the game I love."’
Spiller shows he can carry his weight
‘”You don’t want to do too much when they’re both in there because if you lose one of them (to injury) then all of a sudden you’re without a big part of your package,” Gailey said. “You’re trying to construct enough to create problems for the defense but not so much that you’re relying totally on having both of them at the same time. That’s a fine line that you walk creating offenses to be able to take advantage of both good players.”‘
Strategy And Personnel
‘”There are some guys that we’ve added to the mix that we need to find out how much they can give us,” Gailey said. “They have ability or they wouldn’t be here. So what can they do once we get to training camp and once the lights are on in preseason games? All those kinds of things.”‘
Barnett knows the benefit of OTAs
‘”I think we can be as good as the best defense in the NFL if we do what we’re supposed to do,” Barnett said. “I definitely think we have that potential. We’ve got great pass rushers. We’ve got great interior linemen. We’ve got young hungry linebackers. I’m getting a little long in the tooth but I still consider myself young and we’ve got some young DBs. I don’t know if you guys are watching but they look pretty good. We have a lot of potential to be one of the best defenses in the NFL.”‘
Bills’ Jasper is getting fit
‘”I’m down to about the 375 to 380 range which is my playing weight so I’m just going to keep grinding and if it keeps falling, it keeps coming off.” As far as getting more weight off the guard said, “Guaranteed, I just want to play at the best weight that’s going to give me the opportunity to be successful and right now I’m just staying in shape and going out here and learning my technique and just battling.”‘
Bills’ Jones quietly has inside track on No. 2 WR job
‘”I shouldn’t even be saying this though, but Donald is gonna be the one who is gonna turn some heads,” Stevie Johnson boldly said during the final week of Organized Team Activities. “We moved him inside to the slot and he’s looking real good. He’s got a perfect body for it. The power to get open and get separation, I think he’s gonna have a great season and I think we’ll be alright because he’ll be able to open it up more.”‘
Poloncarz: Bills Lease to be Wrapped Up Soon
‘”They’ve been positive negotiations in which we feel that both sides have a timetable to get the major terms done, a memorandum of understanding done by Training Camp,” said County Executive Poloncarz. “About a month-and-a-half.”‘
Bills WR Jones Ready for Second Chance at Number 2 Spot
‘”It was definitely disappointing to get that shot and get injured twice. But I will get another shot and I’ll take the most advantage of it,” Jones told reporters after the Bills OTA practice on Thursday.’
Stevie Making Great Progress
‘Johnson is very pleased with his recovery and says he is “way ahead of schedule.” However, Johnson knows that he cannot rush to return and will remain cautious not to re-injure the groin. “That’s always in the back of your head when you come back from an injury or surgery. You don’t want to rush it,” Johnson said.’
OTA Report – Day 9 – Stevie progressing
‘”The goal is to see if I can go full practice,” he said. “I’ll be limited for the most part, but the goal is to try to get a full practice in, my goal is to get a full practice before we break and go to this month offseason and get training camp going. For the most part just me being out there I think is going to be pretty good and it’ll boost my confidence just to play against the guys that we have now and just that whole feel that we have now with the team.”‘
QB Young’s suit against ex-adviser called ‘hollow’
‘In response to a lawsuit filed by the Buffalo Bills player in Houston this week, Peoples’ attorney David Chaumette released a statement saying his client did nothing wrong and will be cleared of any liability.’
Vince Young’s former financial adviser says legal suit ”weak”
‘"Peoples Financial and Mr. Peoples are confident that there will be no liability found in this matter," the news release from Chaumette said. "During the entire time that Peoples Financial worked with Mr. Young, there was a trustee in place who approved all actions taken on Mr. Young’s behalf. That trustee, who was not named in the petition, approved the actions taken by Mr. Peoples’s firm, including any financial decisions or transactions on behalf of Mr. Young."’
Bills’ Scott can fill many roles
‘Scott looks a little bit more stout this year. He said, “I did put on a few pounds, about 10 pounds right now and I don’t think I’ll get much bigger than this. I might come back five pounds and play right about 225.” There are reasons why Scott thought he had to do that, “Those pulling guards and tackles, those are some big guys in the trenches and it probably gives me more strength and power at the point of attack.”‘
Bills Future in Buffalo Partly Sunny
