‘”This is jus a small bump in the road for me! Lookin 4ward to comin back and finishin the rest of my career in Buff,” Jackson wrote on his Twitter account early Wednesday evening.’

Bills’ Fred Jackson Placed on IR, Season Over
‘With Jackson’s season now over, the focus shifts to former first-round pick C.J. Spiller. Widely considered as a bust by fans for his lack of playing time and production, Spiller has a tremendous opportunity to put those claims to rest.’
Jackson to I-R; Bills claim RB Choice
‘”Further tests on Fred’s injured leg have shown that he has a broken bone in his leg, so that’s disappointing news for our team and certainly for Fred,” said head coach Chan Gailey in a statement. “The process for Fred to return to the field would most likely take him through the end of the season, so we have made the difficult decision to place him on Injured Reserve. This creates an opportunity for C.J. and, as we announced earlier, he will be our starting running back for this week’s game against the Jets.”‘
Jackson out indefinitely
‘”Fred’s not good. I know he’ll miss this one and then we’ll have to decide what happens from there,” said head coach Chan Gailey.’
Jets Game Preview
‘Jets 31, Bills 3.’
More on the plate of Williams and Rogers
‘With Terrence McGee’s season-ending knee surgery landing him on injured reserve Buffalo is going to be relying on Williams, who is expected to start at left cornerback in McGee’s absence.’
Rookie DBs getting their shot with Bills
‘Searcy could be joined in the starting lineup by second-round pick Aaron Williams, the cornerback out of Texas. Williams, who returned to the lineup last week after missing six games because of a collarbone injury, has a big opportunity sitting in front of him.’
AFL standout Gilchrist suffered brain trauma
‘”Many former athletes and their families have suffered in silence from the effects of CTE,” the Gilchrist family said in a statement provided by the center. “While the athlete suffers the physical effects, their family and friends suffer emotionally watching their loved ones fade away, with symptoms that range from episodes of forgetfulness to violent outbursts. Soon, the person that they knew no longer exists.”‘
Bills place CB McGee, WR Jones on injured reserve
‘The Bills promoted receiver Kamar Aiken from the practice squad, and also signed free agent receiver Derek Hagan to help offset the loss of Jones, who finished with 23 catches for 231 yards in eight games. The Bills also signed defensive back Prince Miller and re-signed guard Keith Williams to the practice squad.;
Bills place WR Jones, CB McGee on IR
‘McGee, 31, injured his left knee against the Dolphins and underwent surgery on Monday. He has appeared in just six games — all starts — this season after suffering a hamstring injury in a season-opening win over the Chiefs.’
WRs Hagan, Aiken signed; Jones, McGee to I-R
‘The Bills injured reserve list gained two more members as the club effectively ended the seasons of Terrence McGee and Donald Jones by moving them to I-R Tuesday. McGee sustained a torn patellar tendon in Sunday’s game at Miami and had surgery Monday. Jones meanwhile suffered the second high-ankle sprain of the season and was given a prognosis of six weeks.’
Bills need to rediscover the resiliency
‘In 2010, the Bills finished 4-12, so this year had to be better. The way the Bills have looked the last three weeks, it’s hard to imagine them beating anybody, but a 5-11 or 6-10 finish is not acceptable anymore. That kind of a downward spiral would put head coach Chan Gailey and general manager Buddy Nix on the hot seat – or at least it should. A nice start is not enough progress for a team that has been down for so long.’
Be Thankful, Bills Fans!
‘I’m thankful that we have George Edwards. Truth be told, I was really starting to miss the days when we had someone named Edwards screw up the Bills.’
Bills stay in running for ëworst team’
‘How did this once-exciting season go so wrong?’
For a Bills Fan, All Hope Is Lost
‘Another fan, writing on a fan site, Two Bills Drive, offered three sarcastic reasons to “look on the bright side”: “1) Our kickoff return team is getting a lot of practice, with 27 repetitions in the last three games. 2) You will be able to buy Bills gear on e-Bay with good selection and great prices. 3) We have a glimmer of reentering the Luck sweepstakes.”‘
