Bills WR Nelson, Cowboys cheerleader ponder moral dilemma
‘This has likely led to some spirited conversations in the impressively-furnished residence the couple shares.’
Bills’ Stevie Absent Friday with Illness, Probable
‘Other than Johnson, the same three players did not participate in Friday’s practice. Demetrius Bell, Chris Kelsay and Rian Lindell had to sit out with injuries. All three have been declared out for the game. Kelsay is the closest of the three it seems. He was doing running drills with a trainer during the media portion of practice. A re-aggravated calf injury will keep him out of the game this weekend.’
Keys for the Buffalo Bills against the Dallas Cowboys
‘Buffalo wins 24-21.’
Cowboys’ Ware looks to blindside the Bills
‘"It’s an opportunity of a lifetime to be able and go out and compete against a guy who has shown his ability over a long period of time," Hairston said. "It will be good to go out there and say, ‘I went against the best,’ because that’s what he’s proven time and time again."’
Rookie Williams returns to practice
‘"I feel great out there," said Williams, who missed the last five games. "It was my first contact and there was a little pain in there, but I’ll fight through it. You never want to rush an injury but at the same time my pride is also in with it. Whatever my role is this week I’m going to play it to the best of my ability."’
Three Buffalo Bills players know Dallas well
‘Nelson is one of three Bills who grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area along with running back Fred Jackson and tight end Scott Chandler, and all are anxious to play in front of friends and family. Nelson, however, is leading the pack in ticket requests.’
How Fred Jackson went from not starting at Arlington Lamar to NFL superstardom
‘ Jackson never started a game in his two years on the varsity. Too small and too slow, he began his senior year as a third-string running back. A knee injury to the stud starter headed to Stanford elevated Jackson to backup behind another stud running back headed to TCU.’
Chan Gailey is doing more with less
‘”He was trying to change the culture of our team and the offensive philosophy from what a lot of guys on offense were accustomed to,” Woodson said. “It was an uphill battle for him. … Guys were accustomed to doing things the way they wanted to do it. When Jerry had to make a choice, he chose to stay with the guys that had been here.”‘

K Rayner accepts another part-time job
‘”These are the kind of jobs here that help you get a permanent job,” the 29-year-old said. “I’ll never turn down a job. I’ll come in here and hopefully do well for as many games as I’m here. Hopefully teams see that, and I get a permanent gig soon.”‘
Bills’ Levitre Likely to Play LT Sunday
‘If I had to guess right now, I’d say probably that’s over a 50-percent chance that he’ll play left tackle,” said Chan Gailey. “We’re still holding out hope for Chris Hairston, but I think that’ll probably be the way it is — at least to start the game.”‘

Jackson returns to Dallas as a star
‘"I’m excited," Jackson said. "I grew up a Cowboys fan. I think it’s every boy’s dream if they live in a place where there’s a professional team, you either want to play for that team or play against them."’
Nelson hopes he’ll earn some cheers
‘”She’s an employee of the Dallas Cowboys,” Nelson said, “and that’s where her loyalties lie. She may try something, but only I’ll know what she’s doing. I’d hope she would cheer. But a lot more eyes will be on her this week than me. Jerry will be watching her. She can’t do too much or she’ll get in trouble.”‘
