‘”Sitting here right now, looking back at how tiny I was and all the different factors that were against me, I’m amazed to be in the position I’m in,” he said.’

A Tale of Two Halves
‘For the second week in a row the Bills won a game they NEVER win. Starting the season with an old-fashioned stomping of an opponent in Kansas City transformed into WINNING (yes, winning!) a shootout at home.’
Time for Bills to show what they’re made of
‘This current Bills’ team still has a lot to prove, but finally they are playing a game that means something in the division. “What we’ve talked about here, in order to get to the playoffs, in order to do what we want to do, you’ve got to win your division,” said Fitzpatrick. “We feel like we may have the toughest division in all of football.”‘
It’s time Bills fans give due to Fitzpatrick
‘”I think it’s important to him to develop a relationship with each player,” said wide receiver David Nelson. “He’s very smart and charismatic.”‘
Undefeated Bills are being taken seriously
‘"Look, we’re going to a very tough environment to play in Buffalo," said Brady. "They’re 2-0, they’re riding high, scoring a lot of points, (have) a very good defense. So you have to gear up and get ready for it."’
Bills’ owner to give UB medical unit$1 million
‘The gift from the Ralph C. Wilson Foundation will support new research and educational programs, particularly for the training of five orthopedic residents and two sports medicine fellows who rotate through the department each year.’
Buffalo Bills owner to steer $1 million to UB
‘Wilson’s wife, Mary Wilson, is scheduled to announce details of the gift at the university on Tuesday. She’s expected to bring some team members along.’
Bills offense is rolling
‘”I think it starts with the guys up front,” he said. “The way that we’re running the ball right now, the holes that are opening up for Freddy (Jackson) and C.J. (Spiller), those guys are running great. The protection on 46 passes without letting up a sack. Those guys are playing really well right now. I think that is what’s keeping us going, allowing plays to happen in the passing game and allowing those guys to break free on the runs.”‘
Tuesday QB: Dissecting the winning drive
‘The drive, which took 15 plays and some creative sets and positioning of receivers by coach Chan Gailey, was capped by David Nelson’s 6-yard reception where running back C.J. Spiller was used as a decoy. Here’s a look at the final drive that led to the Bills’ improbable comeback win…’
Some reasons for concern about Bills
‘But if you want to be taken seriously as a contender, you have to take your flaws seriously, too. The Bills have flaws, like every team in a league. There’s ample cause for worry. Here are half a dozen reasons for concern.’
Parrish’s ankle injury may have ended his season
‘”Let’s see how the reports go,” Gailey said. “He’s supposed to see some more people later this week and I hope that’s an outside chance [going on injured reserve]. But you can never say never.”‘
Bills get job done with unknowns
‘”I think it speaks a lot for our team,” said Fred Jackson, who is the unquestioned leader of this band of outcasts. “That’s why we’re able to play games like this. It’s all guys that have had to fight to get where they want to be in life. We’re going to keep scratching and clawing and fighting out on the field.”‘
Can Bills beat Patriots?
‘There’s no question Fitzpatrick can wrack up some numbers against New England’s defense; everybody seems to. But the Patriots’ defense, currently ranked 31st in yards allowed, is very good at snatching away hopes and dreams. San Diego coughed the ball up four times in a loss this past Sunday and Fitzpatrick was intercepted five times in the Bills’ two losses last year.’
A good time to be a Bills’ fan
‘But, hey, Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has thrown for seven touchdowns in two weeks, too. The cheers can echo until Sunday. Enjoy it while it lasts, Buffalo.’
