‘White’s helmet was driven into the ground. He lay motionless for several minutes while the team’s medical staff strapped him to a body board and carted him off the field.’

‘Ryan Fitzpatrick went 6-of-16 for 44 yards and was picked off in the start for the Bills. He played the entire first half. Tyler Thigpen ended 11-of-20 for 118 yards and a 13-yard score to Felton Huggins in the fourth quarter. Brad Smith connected on all four of his passes.’
Bills Starters Disappoint, Lose 24-10
‘The starting offense wasn’t anything to write home about, with Ryan Fitzpatrick completing 6 of 17 passes for 44 yards and an interception. The Bills went with CJ Spiller to start the game at running back, but it was Fred Jackson that ran the better out of the two backs with the starters. He was a bright spot for the offense, running the ball 4 times for 34 yards. CJ Spiller ran the ball the 6 times for only 10 yards. Backup quarterback Tyler Thigpen was 11 of 20 for 118 yards and a touchdown.’
Reaction: Broncos 24 Bills 10
‘Yuck. Just yuck.’
This football team is no better…yet!
‘Demetrius Bell once again showed us he’s not a left tackle in the National Football League. When he goes up against any decent football player he is worse than terrible. Elvis Dumervil handed Bell his lunch tonight. Twice Bell hardly touched him. A rookie, Von Miller made him look silly.’
Bills ”Manhandled” in Denver
‘It was a Mile High Mess.’
Bills lose in Denver, Gailey ”No serious injuries”
‘Overall it was a tough night for the Bills in Denver. The Buffalo offense struggled to get much of anything going. The unit produced only three points on four series against the Broncos. The offensive line had a difficult time protecting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick faced pressure for most of the night, he was sacked once, and finished 6-of-16 passing for 44 yards an an interception.’
Preseason Immediate Reactions: Broncos 24, Bills 10
‘Marcus Easley had a couple alligator arms moments, but he also is still learning how to play wide receiver, let alone wide receiver in the NFL. Easley will make the team, but he may need a lot of time in the film room and practice before he plays a lot. He reminds me of Stevie Johnson when No. 13 was a rookie.’
Bills sputter in loss to Broncos
‘”When you end up behind the sticks, a lot of teams end up in a bind, but we really end up in a bind,” said Gailey. “We’re not to the point yet where we can overcome a lot of those situations and we’ve got to get better at not taking negative plays.”‘

Bills looking for pass rush depth
‘"I believe I can do a good job setting the edge," Carrington said, in reference to stopping off-tackle runs. "Hand placement is a big part of that, and having the right angle of attack. We’ve worked on that. Bob Sanders [outside linebackers coach] is doing a really good job coaching us."’
Bills starters will get more snaps
‘"We’ll play the starters this week a little bit more than we played them last week," said Bills coach Chan Gailey. "We’ll play the second group a little bit more than we played them last week, just trying to start to build a little bit with conditioning, trying to get some continuity with plays and series out there."’
Buffalo Bills value versatility of Brad Smith
‘”He can do a lot to help a football team win games,” said Gailey, who will probably line Smith up in more Wildcat formations in this game. “We are going to keep pressing the envelope with him and his packages to see how much he can do and to see how much we can get done.”‘
Former Buffalo Bills Coach Levy Releases Novel
‘”There’s a lot of insights into the coach-general manager-owner relationships…I based it on the humor that takes place in the locker room that you often hear about, or maybe a rift that occurs between a coach and a player, or maybe a player and their teammates, all of that is weaved in to the book,” said Levy. “There’s even some original poetry!”‘
Bills-Broncos game preview
‘”We’ve got a lot of work to try to find which of those guys are going to come up and help this football team be a championship football team,” said Gailey.’
