‘Head coach Chan Gailey said late that team physicians were going to take a long look at Davis’ shoulder after he was unable to even practice last week, and surgery could be in the linebacker’s future.’

‘In eight games with the Bills this season, Parrish has 400 yards on 33 catches and two touchdowns. He has 133 career catches for 1,486 and seven touchdowns in 75 career games with the Bills.’

‘Starting receiver Roscoe Parrish won’t play again this season after sustaining a right wrist injury in Buffalo’s 22-19 loss to the Chicago Bears in Toronto on Sunday, and starting inside linebacker Andra Davis is done for the year because of a nagging shoulder injury that he originally sustained in the season-opening loss to Miami.’

‘Wrotto’s positive play mixed with Cordaro Howard’s shoulder injury will be the reason you see Wrotto lined up next to Eric Wood on Sunday against Detroit.’

‘”It’s bad,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “We’ve lost Roscoe for the season. They’re going to have to operate on the wrist.”‘

‘Was given a free Bills towel. A Buffalo fan said it was for wiping away the tears after the game. He didn’t laugh.’

‘”We’re not good enough to overcome turnovers right now,” said coach Chan Gailey, who watched the Bears score two touchdowns off Buffalo’s three giveaways.’

‘ The Bills were not the home team. They were one of two teams, and the allegiance was split about 50-50. It’s a travesty that the Bills don’t get to play eight home games.’

‘Chan Gailey recognized the running game was going nowhere so he aired it out, and there were some good calls on which plays just weren’t made. He needs to find a way to get Spiller going, though. On defense, George Edwards had a better day, but there were enough missed assignments to allow the Bears to convert 7 of 12 on third down.’

‘”Somehow, we keep finding a way to have them hurt more and more,” Fitzpatrick said. “This one really hurts. I don’t know really what else to say.”‘

‘”There were a lot of short, quick passes today, some of those took the place of the run game, only because we were having a little bit of difficulty. It was one of those things where you get the ball out quick; 5- to 6-yard [gains were] fine with us because that’s as good as the run.”‘

‘”Bottom line is, I’ve had a number of people who have already contacted me over the past couple of years,” Kelly said an hour before the kickoff of Sunday’s game, which the Bears won, 22-19. “There is definitely serious interest in making sure the Bills stay in Buffalo. I can’t name those people, but there is no doubt that a lot of folks — major, major businesspeople — would love to see the Buffalo Bills stay in Western New York.”‘

‘But there’s no getting around the fact that they played a home game at a neutral site, before a crowd that was decidedly pro-Chicago. The Bills were coming off consecutive overtime losses on the road. If any team deserved to come home, it was this beleaguered bunch. They deserved better.’
