‘”If you don’t stop the run, you are not going to win very many football games,” Gailey said. “I know that. So, we’ve got to continue to try to get that done. You’re always tweaking. You are always using different types of either personnel groupings or different fronts-different schemes to try to get better. As I said earlier, we are still trying to find the right combination and the right way to go about playing run defense. We haven’t found it yet.”‘

‘"It’s going to be different going into that stadium and running over to the visitor’s sideline," Edwards said. A little twinge in it, but I’ve got a lot of time. So, we’ll see how it goes.”‘

‘Why would Trent Edwards be in the “K-gun” offense last year? Why was Marv Levy placed in charge a few years back? Why would Wilson fly Dick Jauron to the midwest and then fire his offensive coordinator a week before the season? How could he pick Nix and Gailey as the answers? Is Wilson living in the past? Does he see what he going on? Does he recognize what is going on? It is great that the Bills have their stadium named after Ralph Wilson, but the missed the window before the economy tanked to get a mega buck sponsor for the stadium’s naming rights.’

‘”We’re going to go into our bye and they’re coming off theirs, so we’re going to have to come ready to play,” Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco said. “They’re going to come out pretty pumped up in our house, and they’re going to try to get after it.”‘

‘Linebacker Keith Ellison, who was limited in practice all week with a knee injury, is questionable while defensive tackle Kyle Williams, who was held out of practice on Thursday and Friday, is also questionable.’

‘ Buffalo has struggled considerably in this area on both sides of the ball. They have to be decidedly better in converting on offense and getting stops on defense. The Bills have to at least play the Ravens to a draw in terms of third down conversions to have a chance in this game, and that’s going to be difficult against the league’s top ranked third down defense.’

‘When you get beat, you get beat and you’re just not as good as the person in front of you. But when you have mental mistakes that’s how the problems multiply and they can often be the difference between winning and losing as we’ve seen through the first five games this season.’
