‘The team needs linebackers. Bad. They are a collection of castoffs (Andra Davis, Reggie Torbor, Akin Ayodele) and leftovers (Chris Kelsay, Chris Ellis, Keith Ellison) who are doing very little to support adequate line play from Kyle Williams and Dwan Edwards, the defensive bright spots of the season.’

Bills D Deserves an F
‘The Bills new brain trust hoped switching to a 3-4 scheme, even though it lacked the personnel to do it, could improve the Bills inability to stop the run. Things have actually gotten worse under new d-coordinator George Edwards. The Bills even tried using a form of the old 4-3 to slow down the Jags, and it didn’t matter. Not a bit.’
Early lead disappears in loss to Jaguars
‘In the end Buffalo’s defense had trouble slowing down the Jaguars balanced attack. Maurice Jones-Drew averaged 4.4 per carry and Jacksonville’s tight end Lewis had a pair of touchdowns as the Bills gave up 30 points or more for the third straight game.’
Bills Lose To Jags 36-16
‘The Bills were holding on to a 10-3 lead and driving for a score that would maybe give them an insurmountable lead. They had a second and goal at the one yard line. A Demetrius Bell holding penalty put the Bills back to the 11 and they never got into the end zone as they were held to a field goal and a 10 point lead that they couldn’t hold on to.’
