‘There’s a very real fear that the clock is ticking on the Buffalo Bills. Fans can see the writing on the wall that there is a good possibility this team may not be here in five or six years. They need to know the team has a plan.’

‘”I think any time you’re not getting on the field you’ve got to start questioning what your role is here,” he said. “Not getting on the field I was obviously starting to think that they were maybe going to go in a different direction and use Marshawn and C.J. more. ‘The Seahawks tried prior to April’s NFL draft to acquire the former Cal running back. Up until this point, the Bills had held firm against all suitors, but Seattle finally got them to make a move.’

‘Lynch’s agent Doug Hendrickson said a deal was made Tuesday, but he did not know what the Bills received in exchange. Lynch was the Bills’ first-round draft pick in 2007.’

‘To make room for Lynch on the roster, the Seahawks will release running back Julius Jones, a league source told Schefter.’

‘NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora confirmed Tuesday via a league source that the Buffalo Bills have dealt the running back to the Seattle Seahawks in return for a fourth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Another pick could be involved as well.’

‘The Bills and Eagles spoke during the day today, but a league source said nothing came of the talks and said it was actually the Bills that initiated the conversation between the two teams. The Bills are believed to be looking for a third-round pick in exchange for Lynch, and the Eagles wouldn’t be willing to give up anything close to a three for the 24-year-old running back, who was DeSean Jackson’s teammate at Cal.’

‘”It’s no fun being at home on Sunday watching those guys compete and I can’t be there with team,” he said. “I think it was just a character check for myself. I’ve been praying about the situation. I just looked at it as a stepping stone and a hump that I’ve got to get over and not let it crush me. And I think that I’ve done that. ‘State Police at Warsaw and the sheriff’s deputies reported that most drivers of vehicles carrying passengers from the Bills game were acting properly as designated drivers.’

‘New York State Police and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint sobriety checkpoint on Route 20A in Sheldon, Wyoming County,. Troopers and deputies stopped more than 600 vehicles at the checkpoint, which ran from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.’
