Bills FB McIntyre, WR Huggins hurt in practice
‘McIntyre hurt his right leg while blocking on a running play midway through practice Monday morning. A few minutes later, Huggins injured his left shoulder after he landed hard while making a diving catch.’
Rookie DE Carrington has impressive potential
‘”I’m coming along pretty good,” Carrington said. “I’ve still got a lot to learn, but it’s been a good practice for me. Under the veterans I learn a lot, ask questions everyday. They don’t hesitate to give their input on something that will make me better. I’m thankful for that.”‘
Bruce DeHaven relishes return to Buffalo Bills
‘"I have talked to Wade a few times in the last few years," DeHaven said. "There is not a lot of that that I really want to get back into. I talked about it a lot at the time. I understand that all the fans feel like they have something invested in the team. Of all the people involved I feel more hurt by it than anyone because I did feel responsible."’
‘Old man’ Moorman still kicking
‘ "I kind of kid about it and say, ‘If I keep getting better, it will make it harder because people are going to start thinking I’m getting worse if I don’t do as well,’ " said Moorman, who has an ongoing streak of 13 consecutive games with at least one punt of 50-plus yards. "I did have a good year last season, but a lot of that was because the guys covered well. I always try to give credit to the guys in front of me because they do a great job. Garrison [Sanborn] did a great job snapping, being it was his first year. That really helped me as far as being consistent and not worrying about where the snap is going to be."’
