‘Because Buffalo is really hurting at the receiver position, it would almost be an upset if the 25-year old former University of Florida Gator didn’t seriously challenge for a job in training camp. In fact, winning a starting job could be in the equation.’
Bills should name Edwards starting QB
‘Although Gailey wasn’t the big-name coach Bills fans were expecting, Buffalo did hire a man with a proven track record of scoring points and getting the most out of the players at his disposal. Edwards may benefit more than anyone from Gailey’s presence.’

Who will be the strong side LB?
‘”I always come into the year optimistic about whatever our situation is. This year, there are a lot of changes, new defense, new position for me, but I’m excited about it,” he said during OTAs. “It’ll be a lot of studying. I was basically in the same defense for the last seven years, so that side is different for me. But I’m working hard, I’m determined and we’re going to continue to push forward.”‘

When will the new schemes start to click?
‘”We have confidence that our system will put guys in position to make plays,” said Gailey. “You’ve still got to go make them, but I think we’re going to have guys that have some talent. Which rookies will contribute early?
‘Entering his first professional season, Spiller certainly appears to have what it takes to be a major performer early, and said that for all the pressure people tend to apply to top selections, he is not feeling any of it. “I don’t feel any pressure. There are a lot of guys that went in the first round on this team,” he said during rookie minicamp in May. “The main thing is just coming in and learning. I am just going out there, playing football and just running around and having fun.”‘

So hopefully my best is good enough.”‘
Catching up with C.J. Spiller
‘"I’m not ready for those winters yet, but I’m going to get adjusted to them," Spiller said. "It’s going to be a big adjustment being from the state of Florida. If I can just keep my legs warm the best I can, I’ll be fine. I’m looking forward to the snow. I might even pick up a snowball and throw it at the opposing team. I might get fined for it, but it might be a great way to get some recognition on TV."’
