Bills announce preseason game opponents
‘The Bills will open the preseason on the road vs. the Washington Redskins between the dates of August 12-16th. The Bills play their second preseason game in Toronto at Rogers Centre against the Indianapolis Colts at 7:30 p.m. on August 19th.’
Youboty re-signs
‘The four-year veteran appeared in 11 games for the Bills last season making one start against Atlanta in Week 16 when he posted a season-high four tackles and a pass breakup.’

‘The wideout is a former second-round pick of the New England Patriots (2006) where he spent his first two NFL seasons. Jackson was used sparingly as a young player with New England recording 13 receptions for 152 yards and three touchdowns.’
Wood: ”I’m shooting for July”
‘”Right now it’s just light lifting, flexibility, balance, just trying to get all my muscle memory back without jogging or any kind of impact,” he said. “The bones are pretty much healed, but they’re not completely settled so I don’t want to get any impact do anything that could cause a setback. The offseason has been going on for a while, but at this point it’s not even half over so I’ve got a lot of time.”‘
Trent Edwards ready to fight to be Bills starter
‘"That’s part of the territory," the 26-year-old said. "I wouldn’t expect them to name anyone right now. There’s no reason. They have no allegiance to anyone here, I wasn’t drafted by this staff. So I have a clean slate just like anyone they would bring in here."’
Bills’ Wood getting back on feet
‘Asked if he was 80 percent sure he would be ready to play in the season opener, Wood said: "I would say more than 80. It all depends on what setbacks occur. It’s a long way to go and a lot of steps I take, but I am really encouraged the way I have progressed, especially the last month, getting out of the boot, getting on it, doing some strength exercises. I am really encouraged where I am right now and how far I have come in a month. Hopefully I can progress from there. I am shooting for July and I figure if I shoot for July and I have a setback, then August is the worst case."’
Workouts get weightier for ‘new’ Bills
‘"We get so specific everywhere else except for in the weight room," guard Eric Wood said Tuesday. "If this works out and we win a bunch of ballgames this year everyone will do it. If not, they’ll be calling us idiots. [But] the players like it and it gives you more specific workouts."’
Edwards is confident he can win job back
‘"I’ve always been a confident player, regardless if someone doesn’t want me to play or not," Edwards said Tuesday after his conditioning workout at the Buffalo Bills Fieldhouse. "If the media doesn’t like me, if a coach doesn’t like me, I’m still a confident player. That’s not going to change anything about me. People can criticize me. There’s obviously doubters out there. It’s my opportunity, my chance right now, to change those into believers. That’s my attitude. That’s not going to waver, regardless if I’m sitting on the sideline or whether I’m playing."’
