‘Unfortunately, Jackson’s accomplishments have been tarnished by his team’s inability to get him into an important game. In last year’s purposeless finale against New England, Jackson rolled off 136 yards on 27 carries. It was the only time he got more than a dozen rushes all season.’

‘Despite near whiteout conditions in the first half, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three touchdown passes-including a 41-yarder to Owens-in leading the Bills to a 30-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Fred Jackson had 212 yards rushing, the seventh-highest rushing total in team history, to reach 1,000 yards for the first time in his career, and also scored on an 11-yard catch.’

‘Owens passed Brown with a 6-yard catch 6 minutes into the fourth quarter of Buffalo’s season finale against Indianapolis on Sunday. With three catches for 50 yards, Owens hit 14,936 career yards receiving, 2 more than Brown had during his 17-year career that ended in 2004.’

‘In making his 192nd straight start, Manning went 14 of 18 for 95 yards and an interception before taking a seat on a heated bench on the sideline against the Bills on Sunday. He was replaced by rookie Curtis Painter with 9:13 left in the second quarter and the game tied at 7.’

‘Jackson’s big rushing day pushed him up and over 1,000 rushing yards for the season, as he had the first individual 200-yard rushing day since Thurman Thomas had 214 against the Jets in 1990. The Bills feature back finished the season with a career-high 1,057 yards.’

‘”I think it says a lot about them and their character,” said Fewell of his players. “They could’ve given up a long time ago and they never did. “I’ve coached seven games with them. We fought and had a chance to win each ball game except the Atlanta game, but they kept fighting until the very end and I think that says a lot about them. They wanted to go out and win a football game. They wanted to have one win to feel good and it does. It feels good to win.”‘

‘It looked like old times as the Bills definitely looked more comfortable playing in blizzard like conditions than the opponent from a dome stadium. I know it was the Colts backups but they wanted no part of this game.’
