‘Brian Billick, who guided the Baltimore Ravens to the title in the 2000 season, is expected to interview for the Buffalo Bills job next week, according to three sources. Billick, who is working as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports, couched his answer when asked about the Bills vacancy Saturday.’

Bills sign LB Manalac
‘The Bills also announced that the team has placed DB Todd Johnson on Injured Reserve.’
Buddy Ball? They Better Hope it Works
‘My problem with the Bills decision was that they apparently did not look outside the confines of One Bills Drive. When I hear Ralph Wilson say that there were other possible candidates but, “we didn’t know them. I didn’t know them. I don’t think Russ (Brandon) did”, I am alarmed. At the end of the day Buddy Nix might have been the best candidate. But don’t they need to at least bring in some quality people from some of these top organizations and see if they might fit? If for no other reason, an interview with someone from the Patriots or Colts or Giants might give this franchise some insight into how the best teams do business.’
Bills sign LB Manalac, put DB Johnson on IR
‘Manalac, a 6-foot, 235-pound Cincinnati product, was signed to Buffalo’s practice squad on December 23, 2009. Manalac originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Buffalo on August 13, 2009 and was released before the start of the regular season.’
Gameday Tipsheet – Week 17
‘Colts head coach Jim Caldwell has played it close to vest with respect to playing time for his starters in the season finale against the Bills. Most regular observers anticipate the Indy starters to go a quarter to a quarter and a half on Sunday before most take a seat on the bench.’
Terrell Owens likely playing final game with Buffalo Bills
‘The chances of him re-signing with the rebuilding Bills are about as good as him making Buffalo his home when his career ends. The 36-year-old wide receiver signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract hoping that he could rehabilitate his reputation and prove to a contending team that he’s worth taking a shot on for 2010 and beyond, and he may have accomplished that goal.’
Buffalo Bills can only wish to have Indianapolis Colts’ ‘woes’
‘Yeah, who wouldn’t? Being 14-1 as they come to Ralph Wilson Stadium for the season finale against the Bills, with the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs already locked up, is certainly an enviable position to occupy, especially compared to the decade-long non-playoff abyss the Bills cannot escape from.’
Reed’s Bills career may be wrapping up
‘"Me and Josh have gone through a lot these past six years," said receiver Lee Evans. "We’ve grown really close. He’s been here longer than me, so he’s kind of been the face around here for a long time and kind of the glue that keeps a lot of people together. He’s certainly meant a lot to a lot of people and certainly me."’
No perfect unison about Colts’ decision
‘"The ultimate goal in any season is the Super Bowl," safety Donte Whitner said. "You can go 16-0 like the Patriots and not win the Super Bowl and then you’re not remembered as one of the greatest teams that ever played. Now, you can be 14-1 and win the Super Bowl and have a great season and you’re talked about forever. So you have to win that last game. A 16-0 record doesn’t mean anything. Winning the Super Bowl means everything."’
