‘Down 16-10 the Chiefs put one of their longest drives of the game together marching down to the Bills 21-yard line with 2:24 left on the clock. But after a dropped pass by Chris Chambers at the Buffalo one-yard line on 3rd-and-10, a Matt Cassel pass on 4th-and-10 intended for Chambers was tipped by Bryan Scott and intercepted by Jairus Byrd at the Buffalo five-yard line.’

Bills Hold On In KC 16-10
‘The Bills have now won two of three even though it is much more in indication of how weak the NFL is instead of any improvement shown by the Bills. This team is awful and all they did was hurt their chance at a higher draft pick as now the Chiefs are a shoe-in to have a higher pick than the Bills. Of course many would say they wouldn’t do much with a higher pick anyway. Besides, it’s always nice to see the Bills win. It will make Monday morning just a little bit easier to deal with.’
Defense Comes Up Big In 4th Quarter
‘Perry Fewell didn’t send enough pressure especially on third downs as they would rush four most of the time and they would not get there which allowed the Chiefs to convert 7 of 18 third down attempts. Fewell took the blame on a blitz call that resulted in the long touchdown run. They adjusted fairly well to the hurry up offense by Kansas City. Alex Van Pelt got too cute with the offense. The running game was working real well on a third quarter drive when they tried a pass that was picked off in the end zone ending a drive that could have put a stranglehold on the game. They also threw three straight times early in the fourth quarter in Chiefs territory. They missed a field goal instead of taking time off the clock and putting the game away. Bobby April’s unit played a fine game. Grade B: An ugly win is a win nonetheless.’
Savage misses 4th straight game for KC
‘Tight end Joe Klopfenstein (ankle) and receiver Justin Jenkins (knee) were inactive for Buffalo. Cornerback Ashton Youboty, defensive back Cary Harris, receiver James Hardy, defensive end Chris Ellis and defensive tackle John McCargo also were out.’
Bills need tackles, LBs in next draft
‘In its last eight drafts, Buffalo selected just one tackle above the fifth round. That was Mike Williams, one of the foremost flops in the team’s history. At least 15 years ago the general opinion around the NFL was that left offensive tackle had evolved into one of the three or four most important positions on any team’s unit. Meanwhile, the Bills acted as if it could be filled with something off the leftover rack.’
Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs look to salvage pride
‘"Right now it’s just about playing for each other and trying to get some momentum to end this season on a good note," said Evans, the disappointment undeniable in his voice. "I think that’s how you’ve got to approach it and you just stay professional and work every day."’
Buffalo Bills: Game Day
‘ Can Kansas City’s Jamaal Charles become the eighth running back to surpass 100 yards against the Bills?’
Parting of the Red Sea: Arrowhead will be friendlier to Bills
‘"I said at the beginning we were going to have to earn the fans back," Chiefs first-year head coach Todd Haley said this week. "I understand there hasn’t been a lot of winning going on around here and this year one [win] at home and two on the road isn’t enough to earn that back. But that’ll come as we have success. I know the fans will be on board and I know from past experiences that this is the toughest place as far as I’m concerned to play on the road."’
Bills-Chiefs scouting report
‘Chiefs, 24-20.’
Drafting high would serve Bills well
‘But it’s hard to imagine them running the table, or even making another heroic run to 7-9. There’s a greater chance they’ll lose out and finish 4-12. If you ask me, that would be the best thing for the franchise in the long term.’

Gameday Tipsheet – Week 14
‘Buffalo’s offense must outperform Kansas City’s attack in the red zone. The Bills rank 31st in the league in red zone touchdown percentage (33.3%), but they have to be better than the Chiefs in this game as they rank 14th (51.9%). If the Bills can run more effectively in the red zone and finish more red zone possessions with touchdowns they should be able to get their first road win since October.’
Chiefs still believe in Cassel
‘"I’m happy where Matt is at and every day is an opportunity for him to improve and gain experience," Haley said. "I believe we’re headed in the right direction. It’s not been pretty at times, but that’s been a collective effort so to speak."’
Tolbert staying put; McGee ready to start
