‘Almost surely, there will be a new head coach, a new regime, a real general manager to repair the football operation. Fewell has given it his best shot, but the odds were stacked against him from the beginning. He has the makings of a decent head coach, but he’ll have to do it elsewhere.’

‘”They’re a good team and we can’t do what we did today with all the penalties and the mistakes that we had to help them,” said Fred Jackson, Buffalo running back. “We have to take advantage of every opportunity we have to beat them.”‘

‘Incognito’s contract is up at the end of the year. He will become a free agent this offseason and I don’t see why Buffalo wouldn’t give him a serious look. This could be a big pick up for a team which has a poor offensive line.’

‘”Very sick of the losses to the Patriots,” Whitner said. “They have a little swagger about themselves. They know they’ve beaten us so many times and it would just be good to go out there and beat them and stop that streak and take some of those smiles off their faces.”’

‘I love his enthusiasm and the fact he isn’t afraid to make changes on the fly, and I also appreciate his outspoken manner. I get the feeling the players may not always like what he says or how he says it, but they respect his honesty and don’t have to guess what he means by reading between the lines. Fewell is now 2-3 as the “head coach”, and could easily be 4-1 or even 5-0 with ANY kind of offensive line and a halfway decent quarterback.’
