‘Trent Edwards played well early on but struggled mightily when the game was on the line. When he threw an interception that was returned for a score late in the game he was pulled for Ryan Fitzpatrick. Edwards finished 18 of 28 for 185 yards and a touchdown pass to Lee Evans on a pretty fade pattern. Fitzpatrick went just 2 of 6 and had his own pick returned for a score. Grade D: Both of these quarterbacks are more towards #3s instead of #1s.’

Bills Collapse In 41-17 Loss In Nashville
Revitalized Titans crush Bills in fourth quarter
‘ Buffalo’s primary concern this afternoon against Tennessee was figuring out a way to stop Chris Johnson, the NFL’s leading rusher. Not surprisingly, the NFL’s worst run defense wasn’t able to do that as Johnson rolled up 132 yards on the ground, plus caught nine passes for 100 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Titans to a 41-17 victory over the Bills at LP Field.’
Johnson scores 2 TDs, Titans beat Bills 41-17
‘The Bills looked as if the bye week did some good on the opening drive, and the wildcat formation that didn’t work before the bye against Houston did against Tennessee. Fred Jackson first ran for 2 yards, then took the snap again as he faked running into the line, stopped and tossed a 27-yard pass to a wide-open Lee Evans for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead.’
Tennessee 41, Buffalo 17
‘Trent Edwards returned to his starting role after missing the better part of three games following a concussion suffered against the Jets on October 18 and finished 18-of-28 passing for 185 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Ryan Fitzpatrick took over for Edwards late in the fourth quarter and finished 2-of-7 with six yards and a pick that was returned for a score.’
Titans Rush Their Way To 41-17 Win Over Bills
‘Titans’ running back Chris Johnson had his way with the Buffalo defense, gashing the team for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground and 100 yards receiving on 9 catches.’
Titans fourth quarter blitzes Bills
‘The game was closer than the final score indicated. Buffalo overcame a 17-7 first half deficit to tie the score entering the fourth quarter. But the Titans scored 24 unanswered points in the final frame with two touchdowns coming on a 26-yard Vincent Fuller interception return for a touchdown with three minutes left and a 31-yard Roderick Hood interception return for a touchdown in the waning moments.’
Bills left tackle hurts knee, out against Titans
‘Andy Levitre moved over from left guard to tackle, while Seth McKinney was playing at left guard for Buffalo in the second half.’
Britt gets 1st start for Titans with Gage out
‘The Bills deactivated three defensive starters: linebacker Keith Ellison (thigh), cornerback Terrence McGee (knee) and tackle Kyle Williams (knee). Strong safety Bryan Scott is starting in Ellison’s spot, with George Wilson starting at safety for Scott.’
Bills vs. Titans have been nail biters
‘The Bills and Titans have not faced each other all that often in this first decade of the 21st century, but the matchups that have taken place have been memorable. With three regular season meetings and one controversial one in the postseason, Buffalo vs. Tennessee has had a bit more flavor than most intra-conference series.’
VY: Back from the dead?
‘"I feel like for them to understand that you are growing up you must speak your mind and let them know what’s going on," Young said in June. "That’s basically what I told him. I don’t want him to give me anything. I just want to come and take care of my responsibilities and earn everything, that what’s given [to] me is that what I earn."’
Bills-Titans scouting report
‘Titans, 24-20.’
Fisher’s run is definition of continuity
‘Still, Fisher is in his 16th season as Adams’ head coach. He started when the team was still the Houston Oilers. Fisher has the longest tenure with his current team of any NFL coach. He has nurtured his relationship with Adams through the years. He didn’t last this long without accepting that the owner will sometimes get his way.’
Bills tackle Scott will not play Sunday
‘Jamon Meredith, who started the past three games at that spot, is questionable with a sprained knee. It’s expected that Kirk Chambers will start at right tackle.’
Second half begins for Buffalo Bills
‘”I think we’re rested, we’re relaxed, and nobody says that you can’t win them all,” defensive end Chris Kelsay said. “That’s our approach and it has to be our approach.”‘
