‘Will Terrell Owens and Lee Evans finally wake up? Evans did as he caught four balls for 68 yards and made a great catch and run with a slant for the Bills’ only touchdown, which tied the score in the third quarter. Owens had three catches for 13 yards. He is nothing more than a possession receiver right now.’

Buffalo Bills Report Card
‘OFFENSIVE LINE: With Jamon Meredith starting at RT in place of Jonathan Scott, the Bills had four first-year players starting up front. All in all, it wasn’t a bad day, though the Jets losing DT Kris Jenkins to a knee injury certainly helped. The Bills ran the ball decently, and the only sack the line allowed was more of a coverage sack. Unfortunately, that was the play that knocked Edwards out of the game. B-‘

Lindell’s 47-yard FG wins it for Bills in OT
‘The Bills (2-4) took advantage of Mark Sanchez’s fifth interception of the day to snap a three-game losing streak, and send the sputtering Jets (3-3) to their third straight loss.’
Jets’ Ihedigbo ejected for throwing punch
‘New York Jets safety James Ihedigbo has been ejected from the team’s game against Buffalo for throwing a punch at the Bills’ Derek Fine at the start of overtime.’
Jets NT Jenkins leaves with knee injury
‘Jenkins tackled Fred Jackson on a 4-yard run with 4:54 left before halftime and went down, grimacing while laying on his back. He ripped off his helmet and stayed on the turf on his back for several minutes as trainers checked on him.’
Bills QB Edwards leaves game vs. Jets with injury
‘On third-and-2 from the Bills 43, Edwards was taken down by David Harris(notes) and Calvin Pace(notes) and remained on the turf for a few moments. He gingerly got up and slowly walked to the sideline with trainers. Edwards sat on the bench with his helmet on as the trainers spoke with him for several minutes.’
Jets’ Cotchery, Smith out; Bills’ Posluszny active
‘Buffalo starting middle linebacker Paul Posluszny (broken forearm) and starting safety Donte Whitner (thumb) were both active. Return man Roscoe Parrish (thigh) was inactive, as were safety Bryan Scott and right tackle Jonathan Scott.’
Buffalo 16, NY Jets 13 (OT)
‘After missing the potential game- winning field goal at the end of regulation, Rian Lindell snuck a 47-yard field goal just inside the right upright with 2:44 remaining in overtime to give the Buffalo Bills a 16-13 victory over the New York Jets in a battle between these two AFC East foes.’
Bills QB Edwards leaves Jets game
‘Facing a 3rd-and-2 at the Buffalo 43, Edwards dropped back and was sacked by Calvin Pace and David Harris. Edwards’ body twisted in a weird way as he went to the ground.’
Edwards Injured; Bills Stun Jets 16-13 In OT
‘The Jets won the coin toss and chose to receive the football. Feely lined up for a 50 yard field goal attempt, but a bad snapped forced holder Steven Weatherford fumbled the snap and threw an INT to John Wendling to end the drive. The Buffalo offense went three and out on the next drive to give New York the football back in OT. However, Sanchez threw his fifth interception of the day. This time Paul Posluszny made the pick inside of Jets’ territory. Nine plays later Lindell booted a 47 yard field goal through the uprights to end the marathon 16-13 in the Bills’ favor.’
Immediate Reactions, Wk6
‘Note to Trent Edwards: It’s not the concussion. No. 83 has been on the Bills all year. What a nice game for Lee Evans, one of the classiest guys in the league. His critics should note that he made catches in traffic and near the sidelines. Feeling good for a class act, who shown while Terrell Owens was engaged in a battle with Darrelle Revis, who is the real deal. Revis was chosen two picks after the Bills chose Lynch.’
Bills Win Doesn’t Change Big Picture
‘Even before Trent Edwards suffered what appears to be another concussion against the Jets, there is simply no doubt in my mind the Bills brass are already thinking in terms of going back to the drawing board on the quarterback thing. Edwards’ struggles are a big part of the growing doubt about his future in Buffalo, but his ‘dur’ability is just as big a question as his ‘a’bility.’
Bills Beat Jets 16-13 In OT
‘The Bills won the game but that is mainly because the Jets didn’t really want it.’
