‘”I’m just trying to let them know that I’m another valuable weapon on this team and I want to be used as much as possible,” Jackson said. “That’s the No. 1 goal.”‘

Inside slant
‘”They have a quarterback playing at a really high level so you want to keep him off the field,” Owens said. “But we’re similar. I think they want to keep us off the field, too. I think we have equal weapons on our side. But yes, when you have a guy like Drew Brees who is playing out of his mind, you want to limit the number of touches that he has.”‘
Strategy and personnel
‘On the talent scale, it would seem Butler and Scott are virtually the same player. Both were fifth-round picks in 2006, Scott going 141st overall to the Lions and Butler 143rd overall to the Bills. Where Buffalo gets hurt with Butler out of the lineup is experience; Butler had 31 career starts.’
Notes, quotes
‘Four former Bills are represented on defense for the Saints: defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, CB Jabari Greer, SS Pierson Prioleau and DL Anthony Hargrove.’
Owens: ”I let some opportunities slip”
‘”I just feel like I let some opportunities slip. And obviously with the deep ball I kind of relaxed and the shield was kind of dirty from the couple plays before, so you know, again, I have high standards for myself.”‘
QA with Buffalo Bills Head Coach Dick Jauron
‘Q: Has your defensive coordinator brought certain wrinkles trying to keep offenses on their toes? A: Yes. Very much. Perry (Fewell) does a terrific job as does the whole defensive staff. We try to change up enough, just so people can’t count on it all the time. I think any good football team and hopefully, we’re becoming a good team, any good team that you play on either side of the ball and you’ll have a good idea of what they do because they do it and they do it well and that’s what makes it a good team. They’ll usually change up a little bit on you to throw them off. They know how to counter when you do something.’
QA with Terrell Owens
‘Q: How are you adjusting to that nightlife in Buffalo? A: I stay in the house.’
