‘Allowing the sack, then fumble, then score was simply the most prominent example of the Jets dominating the most prominent moments, with the Bills responding far too infrequently.’

Peters gets nod to start Pro Bowl
‘Peters was named a starter for the second straight year, a first for a Bills offensive tackle since Howard Ballard was selected in 1992 and ’93. He missed the game last season after undergoing sports-hernia surgery. His selection Tuesday afternoon came as a surprise to many who believed he had a drop-off in performance from a year ago.’
Why was J. P. still in Bills uniform?
‘Losman couldn’t have made it any clearer after last season that he wanted out. He felt he was treated unfairly and that he’s too young to be wedged into the role of reserve. If he received a chance to play this season no doubt his top priority would be to impress other teams. And who could blame him? He knows his time here is finished.’
Bills may let Hamdan play out string
‘”I wouldn’t say that I wouldn’t [play Hamdan],” Jauron said this week. “It will take a little bit of time in the next couple of days as we get ready for Denver. We’ll talk things over and see.”‘
What have the Bills got to lose?
‘Turner Gill. Yes, that Turner Gill, the current head coach at the State University of New York at Buffalo; UB. Sure he has next to no NFL experience, save a short stint as an assistant coach with the Green Bay Packers. Sure he’s a coach in the Mid American Conference, a league that is, at best, at the middle level of Division 1-A and a long, long way from the NFL. But Turner Gill has something that the Buffalo Bills have to go back to the previous decade to recall. Turner Gill is a winner.’

Bills Book for Christmas
‘Former Channel 8 sports anchor and CBS producer Jim Gehman has written the book “Then Levy Said to Kelly”: The Best Buffalo Bills Stories Ever Told”. Gehman might not have talked to every former Buffalo Bills player, but it seems like it. This book isn’t just a rehash of the Super Bowl teams (even though they play a prominent role). This book lets you know what it was like to play in the AFL Championship game. This book lets you hear what it was like to play for some of the worst teams in franchise history. This book lets you hear the stories right from the source’s mouths.’
Bills’ Peters Pro Bowl-bound for 2nd straight year
‘The Bills left tackle was Buffalo’s only player selected to the AFC team and only the fourth offensive tackle from the franchise to be chosen in consecutive seasons. He’s the first since Harold Ballard in 1992-93.’
Jauron’s call still remains indefensible
‘Losman has always been a sack waiting to happen.’
Bills need to speak up on extension
‘It’s not clear which is worse, the fact that the Bills are dumb enough to let Jauron coach this team even one more day, or their silence on the matter.’
Peters returning to Pro Bowl
‘Slowly but surely Peters rounded his game back into form as the season wore on and the production in Buffalo’s running game improved as a result. Peters wasn’t the sole reason Buffalo’s ground attack was better, but it certainly didn’t hurt to have their athletic left tackle driving defenders off the ball with regularity.’
Losman Plays Jets’ Not-So-Secret Santa
‘No Buffalo head coach has lasted more than three seasons on the job since Marv Levy’s departure following the 1997 season, and Jauron joins Gregg Williams (2001-03) and Mike Mularkey (2004-05) as coaches that have failed to lead the team to the playoffs in the post-Wade Phillips era.’
Moorman one of few constants in ë08
‘”Brian a lot of times has a great punt where it won’t kick in the end zone right away and it gets a good bounce and a little luck to it and things work out,” said John Wendling, who downed both punts on Sunday. “We gave our team field position and that’s what special teams is all about, turn that field position over to our defense and we were able to do that.”‘
That one play aside, Sunday was a rush
‘Bills running backs Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson ran all over the NFL’s fifth-ranked run defense. The Bills ran for 187 yards, 127 by Lynch, while averaging 5.8 per carry.’
Contract mess an extension of fans’ ire
‘The fact is, they can’t sell Jauron to the public after his team’s two-month meltdown. Brandon, who knows a thing or two about sales, has to realize that. Right now, Jauron is as unpopular with the fan base as any coach in Bills history, and that’s saying a lot.’
