‘Bills 24, Jets 20.’

‘Schobel has not appeared in a game since Week 5 against the NFC West champion Arizona Cardinals. The TCU product has registered 19 tackles and one sack in five contests this season for Buffalo.’

‘He becomes the ninth Bills’ player placed on IR, a growing list that includes several other defensive regulars, including cornerback Ashton Youboty and linebackers Angelo Crowell and John DiGiorgio.’

‘”When it happened I never thought it was more than just something that hurt me for that play,” Schobel told Buffalobills.com. “I played the whole game on it. And then the next week it was pretty sore and I shot it up and from then on it was a little different.”‘

‘”It’s better, but he did not participate at all,” said head coach Dick Jauron after practice.’

‘”We’ve just got to make sure we do a good job of locking him down and try to neutralize him,” Preston said. “He’s a great player, he’s going to make plays and they’re saying he’s going be the defensive MVP of the league and we’ve just got to neutralize him and not allow him to really cause trouble.”‘

‘Dockery and his wife Emma received an educational tour of the Buffalo General Hospital Chest Pain Center on Tuesday and they went behind the scenes and met with a host of welcoming Kaleida Health representatives including doctors, nurses, medical staff and patients. They saw clogged arteries on x-rays, witnessed a patient getting a stress test and observed more patients lying in the emergency room and cardiac unit suffering from heart conditions.’

‘It’s not that Buffalo Bills wide receiver James Hardy is tied for the 239th-most reception yards in the NFL this year, or that one of the players he’s tied with is former remarkably unproductive Bill Sam Aiken. The biggest problem with Hardy is that he’s only 25th in yardage among rookies, with unheralded teammate Steve Johnson only one place and 3 feet behind. Even at a tough position for first-year men to succeed, Buffalo’s second-rounder is underperforming in a most unimpressive way, as he’s provided no relief for a passing game that could have used marginal help from him and didn’t even get that.’

‘The Bills figured to be an important part of the AFC playoff picture after winning their first four games and five of their first six, but have since seen their once-promising season fall apart. Buffalo has dropped six of its last seven games, and has failed to find the end zone in either of the last two weeks – losing 10-3 to the 49ers and 16-3 to the Dolphins.’

‘”If y’all are looking for the right person to blame, I’m right here,” Lynch said. “There’s been a lot of negative things floating around… If there’s somebody on the team that’s had a lot said about them, it’s been me. The way I feel, you can dump the trash on me… I’m just gonna dust it off, step on it, and rise.”‘

‘”I don’t want to take nothing away from my offensive line, because [of how] hard we come in and we work and the extra meetings that we go through, the extra time we’ve been putting in to get it going,” Lynch said. “So I’m going to put that on me. There’s been some key things that I’ve seen on film where I feel I could have made a better play.”‘

‘”He’s seen all the specialists in the recent weeks,” Jauron said. “We’ve done all the tests. He’s tested it on the field. It just didn’t really respond the way he wanted it to.”

‘Next year’s game could be scheduled during the CFL season, either when the Argonauts are out of town, or even in conjunction with an Argos game, perhaps with both teams playing on the same weekend. “I think a football weekend celebrating both the CFL and the NFL would be a great concept,” Montgomery said. “That’s something we’d love to talk about. But our first conversation would be with the Argonauts.”‘
