‘It has already been determined, though, that the Rogers Centre will keep it’s roof closed. This will make things much easier on the fans but, in essence, the Buffalo Bills have lost their “home field” advantage in two different ways: by playing the game in Toronto, and by playing in a temperature controlled environment.’

‘Obviously, he played an integral part in the Bills Toronto Series and it makes me very sad that he won’t be here to share in the historic game with us this weekend in the building that bears his name.’

‘Lynch had averaged over eight yards-per-carry in the second most-productive ground game of his young career, and coincidentally or not, Peters has performed his best in the Bills’ last three games, contests in which Lynch averaged 5.2, 4.0 and 8.4 yards-per-carry, twice going over the 115-yard mark.’

‘But Edwards has to earn that faith in the final quarter of what’s now doomed to be a failed season. He is sinking to the level of his predecessor: just like J.P. Losman displayed glimmers of aptitude among long frustrating stretches, Edwards has to avoid coasting on brief memories and potential. The Stanford man is still only 21 starts into his career, but he must not only play but also reassert himself in starts 22 through 25 in order to remain in place for start number 26 during next year’s Week 1.’

‘”We have to get the ball in the end zone somehow, any way at all,” coach Dick Jauron said Monday. “Obviously our kicking game was not strong yesterday. It’s not an easy task because you have a lot of bodies crammed into a much smaller field the closer you get to the goal line. We just have to find the guys that can score and they’ve got to make the plays to score.”‘

‘We were warned that he was dull and conservative, lacking in conviction, a man who coached not to lose.’

‘The Bills have slim playoff chances, and it is obvious they need to win their remaining four games and then get plenty of help from other teams in the AFC East losing to even stay alive in the chase. Are they capable of doing that without Edwards? Probably not, and his availability for Sunday’s game in Toronto against the Miami Dolphins is uncertain at best.’
