‘Sorry, Leodis. Even though some of your fans put together a petition of more than 1,000 names urging the teams to toil in the December elements, it is not going to happen. And maybe that’s a good thing.’

T.O.-bound Bills running cold and head for cover
‘He and the Bills and their long-suffering fans, some of whom might actually make the trip up the QEW, have been down this rocky road before. It has been eight years and counting out of the playoffs, but this season is shaping up as particularly hurtful. The Bills started 5-1; have gone 1-5 since. All the early promise has been mitigated by the usual heavy load of cynicism and second-guessing.’
Running out of time
‘The disappointing performance before 70,988 should erase any sense the Bills are giving up any advantage against the Dolphins by moving out of the elements into the indoor comfort of the Rogers Centre in Toronto. “It can’t hurt us,” defensive end Chris Kelsay said. “We aren’t winning here.”‘
Backup Losman saves biggest splash for after the game
‘”We had decent communications,” Losman said. “There are some other issues going on there. This is an in-house game and I can only tell you guys as much as I want to tell you. I’ve been in this situation before … um … many times. And it is an in-house game. And nobody can get anything out of me. Ever. We’re a very, very close-knit group regardless of what happens.”‘
A Lowly Loss
‘”The record speaks for itself,” Bills receiver Lee Evans said. “You can’t say that you’re one thing and show up on the field and be something else. We are a .500 football team. That’s what we are. And if we even think about making a run here at the end of the season, if we play like a .500 football team, we will not be in the playoffs.”‘
Clements, Spikes have happy return to Buffalo
‘”Like a college atmosphere is the best way to describe it,” Clements said of Buffalo. “You can’t beat that. The victory was emotional because I played here.”‘
Loss hurts in a couple of ways for Bills’ Trent Edwards
‘Edwards wasn’t a 49ers fan growing up in the Bay Area. He won’t be one now, either, as San Francisco delivered a big blow to the Bills’ playoff hopes.’
Cornerback Clements excels against his former team
‘”We just wanted to come out and compete,” Clements said. “Every Sunday we prepare ourselves. This week we practiced hard and studied, and we did a lot of hard work. So we wanted to come out and make a good showing and get a ‘W.'”‘

Man Says Former Bills Player Punched Him
‘Sources say the former Buffalo Bill involved is Eric Moulds, a popular receiver who played for the Bills for a decade. The altercation allegedly happened on Chippewa Street around 2:15 a.m. Friday.’
Lindell hits bad spell
‘”I am just not hitting the ball well,” Lindell said. “I got a good hit on it and the distance was there but it doesn’t matter if you don’t hit it straight.”‘
