‘Coach Dick Jauron said he wouldn’t make any predictions about Whitner’s status except to say, "it’s in the realm of possibility" he’ll be able to play. Whitner practiced on a limited basis and appeared wary of raising his shoulder over his head.’

Week 11: Bills vs. Browns
‘Bills 27, Browns 24.’
Bills add DB Dustin Fox to practice squad
‘Fox, who was released by Buffalo before the start of this season, appeared in the Bills’ final five games last season after spending eight weeks on the practice squad. He’s an Ohio State product who was selected by Minnesota in the third round of the 2005 draft but spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve.’
Whitner Limited; Fox Signed To Practice Squad
‘Bills safety Donte Whitner was on the practice field Wednesday afternoon. Whitner appeared to be limited during the portion of the workout that the media was allowed to watch.’
Fox added to practice squad
‘Fox, offers depth at both safety and cornerback and was used at both positions in training camp this past summer.’
Bills help Toronto school get active
‘The players spoke about the NFL Play 60 campaign, which encourages youths to exercise for at least 60 minutes each day, at the Fern Avenue Junior and Senior Public School.’
Bills’ Whitner missed by Poz, everyone else
‘As with Cassel’s runs, Green-Ellis’ situational 22 yards and a score demonstrated how slowly Buffalo’s defense responded to everything. The Bills have to figure out how to compensate for personnel losses no matter how devastating they may be, and stopping dinky passes or recognizing simple patterns would be a good way to begin for as long as Whitner is out.’
McGee passes the test against Moss
‘”The coaches told me during the week that would be the matchup,” McGee said of his assignment. “He’s the real deal. I didn’t know he was that quick being as tall as he is. It was a great challenge, but I felt like I was up to the challenge.”‘
Bills squandering promising start
‘As in Cleveland, football means a lot to the people in Buffalo. Maybe that’s why their fans wanted to believe this would be a special year there, too.’
Scouting the Bills
‘Quarterback Trent Edwards: A recent slump has seen him tumble to 17th in passer rating (86.9), but the second-year quarterback still ranks sixth in completion percentage (66.9) and 10th with an average gain per attempt of 7.53 yards.’

Edwards still confident as Bills struggle
‘”But I’ve said from Day 1, team is what it’s all about. Accepting the individual accolades and criticisms, it’s tough at the quarterback position because you’re going to get all the credit when you win and all the (blame) when you lose.”‘
