‘Outside linebacker Kawika Mitchell loves the way Posluszny plays. "You can just tell he’s getting more and more comfortable every single week," said Mitchell, a six-year veteran. "He won the Butkus; he won that for a reason. He’s a good player, so the more comfortable he gets, the more tackles and big plays he’s going to make."’

Strategy and personnel
‘The Buffalo staff continues to impress with its ability to get things straightened out when times are tough. The Bills did not play well in the first half and were trailing 14-6. The defense was being gouged by Jackson on the ground, and the offense couldn’t figure out how to slow down St. Louis’ pass rush. In the second half, it was as if a different Buffalo team had taken the field. Coach Dick Jauron praised his two coordinators for the way they tweaked the schemes and the players for executing the changes. As for Jauron, he has to be given credit for the way the Bills keep fighting.’
Notes, quotes
‘Rookie WR James Hardy is finding that life in the NFL is a little more difficult than even he thought. In the first half against the Rams, QB Trent Edwards tried to get the ball to Hardy on four occasions, and none of them worked. Hardy has only two catches in four games, both in the win at Jacksonville, where he caught the game-winning TD pass late in the fourth quarter. Hardy had an increased role in the offense because third receiver Roscoe Parrish is out, but it appears he’s not quite ready to shoulder the burden. He is having a tough time learning the offense, and he’s also had a couple of balls in his hands that he didn’t hang on to.’
Bills sign McIntyre; release Barnes
‘McIntyre, who was recently released by the Atlanta Falcons as part of the team’s final cuts, has also appeared for Cleveland and New Orleans during his career. He has also appeared on special teams, making 20 tackles in 33 career games.’
Bills Close Out Successful September
A Bills fan in a strange land
‘Memo to anyone who will listen: Don’t ever, ever build a dome. At least, don’t built a non-retractable one. Walking into the St. Louis stadium, it felt more like a giant HSBC Arena than a football stadium.’
Some notes on Posluszny and Linehan’s fate
‘In short, he’s played the way the Bills had hoped when they traded up to the 34th overall pick in 2007, dealing for Detroit’s second-round choice, to get a player they felt should have gone in the opening round.’
