‘Giving 11 carries to Lynch and 10 to Jackson is inexcusable, plain and simple. Jackson admittedly hits the holes with a little more patience, and that’s a boon when the hole isn’t always there, but Lynch showed on several occasions today why he’s a better option than Jackson, who I have absolutely no problem with as a second-string or fill-in back.’

Bumbling Fourth Quarter Offense Leads To Loss
‘Trent Edwards had nice touch on his passes on the opening possession but struggled for most of the rest of the first half with some inaccurate throws. He moved the team well in spurts but had two very costly fourth quarter turnovers with an interception when his arm was hit as he threw. The next series he fumbled while he was stretching for a first down on a third and one sneak. He also had two sacks where he held the ball too long including the safety in the fourth quarter which he also fumbled the ball. Grade F: Came crashing back to earth.’
Dolphins Down Bills 25-16
‘Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter was a thorn in the Bills side. Porter had two sacks giving him 10.5 on the season and forced the Edwards fumble as well. Wideout Ted Ginn Jr. had a career game, hauling in seven catches for 175 yards. He was the favorite target of quarterback Chad Pennington, who finished the day 22-of-30 for 314 yards and a touchdown to tight end Anthony Fasano in the first quarter.’
Miami Roars Back To Whip Bills 25-16
‘The fourth quarter is suppose to be Trent Edwards time and with the Bills trailing by one when the final stanza started fans thought good things would happen. What did happen was three straight turnovers wrapped around a safety on their last four possessions.’
Miami 25, Buffalo 16
‘Pennington managed the game well, completing 22-of-30 passes, while Ted Ginn caught seven passes for 175 yards for the Dolphins (3-4), who snapped a two- game losing skid. Williams finished with only 16 yards on the ground, while also catching two passes for 43 yards.’
Bills hang on in loss to Dolphins
‘Miscues and turnovers by the Bills kept an upstart Miami team within striking distance early in the second half, and the Dolphins capitalized each and every time as Buffalo dropped their first division contest of the season 25-16 at Dolphins Stadium.’
Ginn leads Dolphins past Bills 25-16
‘Ginn had a breakout game Sunday with seven catches for a career-high 175 yards, and the Dolphins overcame a nine-point third-quarter deficit to beat AFC East leader Buffalo 25-16.’
Strong start means new extension for Jauron
‘The Bills and Jauron have agreed on what is believed to be a three-year contract extension that will tie the head coach to Buffalo through 2011. Jauron was in the last year of his contract, which is how questions about his future first arose.’
Bills rely on Special Ops
‘Solid special teams have helped the Bills to a 5-1 start. The Bills hope special teams can set a winning tone again today when they face the Miami Dolphins.’
What can Brown do for Dolphins? Bills should get shots downfield
‘Bills, 20-13.’
Tuna is new reason to loathe Fish
‘Parcells has now run the show for all three of the Bills’ current rivals in the AFC East. Buffalo is the only town in the division that hasn’t been ennobled by the presence of football’s bombastic genius. It’s Hannibal Lecter, coming back for one more taste.’
Single-wing offense takes flight in Miami
‘The Miami version of the single wing is nowhere near as sophisticated as Caldwell’s strategy nor could it be considering the speed and quickness of today’s NFL defenders. The way to stop the Dolphins’ Wildcat is disciplined defense. Considering all the new veterans Buffalo added to its defense this season, discipline should be probable today.’
2008 Buffalo Bills look a lot like 1988 Bills team
‘I’m not saying this season is going to turn out the way ’88 did. Nor am I crazy enough to predict that any of these Bills is going to wind up in Canton.’
A few Bills players say playing Dolphins is special – it’s an AFC East game
‘"I take it just as seriously as I have the last six games. I know a lot of the fans make this to be a rivalry game, but I don’t think I have been surrounded by this rivalry long enough to really appreciate it, so I might be a little naïve to this setting and environment.”’
Buffalo Bills Scouting Report
‘The Bills have always enjoyed success at Dolphin Stadium. They have won three of the last four games down there and are 13-10 (counting playoffs) all-time in this stadium since it opened in 1987.’
