‘The Bills (4-0) head into their bye after this game, meaning McGee would have a solid three weeks to get healthy for the Oct. 19 showdown against San Diego at Ralph Wilson Stadium. That game is a statement game for Buffalo, which so far hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record.’

‘McIntyre sure has the right attitude for that blue-collar role, plus contributing on special teams. Asked his mentality, he said: “My mentality is I have to feed my kids and somebody has their food, so I have to go get it. That’s me. I see the ball and I go get the ball.”‘

Not that they want to keep having slow starts. “I’ve said this all along that it comes from our leaders in this locker room and it comes from our head coach, too,” he said. “Guys believe in what those guys are saying and there’s no reason why we can’t come back in football game. We’ve done it in the past and you believe in what the guys are telling you. We just have to make sure that we’re not getting down by too much. These first halves have been kind of bad that our defense has kept us in games, special teams has kept us in games and we can’t get down by 20 or 30 points because we’re not going to be able to come back in those types of games. We need to be able to stay in games and start a little bit faster.”‘
