‘This team played a solid all around effort in tough conditions and showed how they can face adversity in a game on the road against a good team and still win the game. The defense wilted a bit in the third quarter but toughened in time to allow the offense to re-take the game. Edwards continues to show poise, accuracy, and pocket presence and is really developing quickly. The special teams wiped the egg of their faces from the onside kick and setup the big return by Parrish. Just a great win with the schedule setting the team up well over the next few weeks, the league will begin to buzz about this team.’

Buffalo 20, Jacksonville 16
‘Marshawn Lynch had 59 yards rushing and scored once on 19 carries for the Bills (2-0), who haven’t opened a season with two wins since 2003. Fred Jackson caught seven passes for 83 yards, while Lee Evans grabbed four balls for 77 yards. Rookie James Hardy had his first career touchdown reception.’
Bills jolt Jaguars in comeback win
‘Then Trent Edwards, who had a big day on third downs until on a 3rd-and-6 from the Jaguars 44, Edwards while getting great protection from his line, hit Evans for a big 37-yard reception along the near sideline to set up 1st-and-goal at the seven. On the very next play Edwards lofted a pass in the back right corner of the end zone where James Hardy leapt and came down with both feet in bounds for a seven-yard touchdown reception.’
Edwards leads Bills to 20-16 win over Jaguars
‘But Edwards made two of his best throws when his team needed them most. Facing third-and-6 from the Jacksonville 44, Edwards hung in the pocket and threw a strike to Lee Evans that gained 37 yards. Edwards was even better on the next play, hooking up with second-round draft pick Hardy in the corner of the end zone for a 7-yard score.’
Three years after Hunter Kelly’s death, testing holds hope for newborns
‘”There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t see or hear about a family that is affected in the same way our family was affected, that has a child that is dying,” Waggoner said in her office in Orchard Park. “We know what that’s like. We want to do everything we can so that other families won’t have to experience the suffering and death of a child.”‘

Fewell gets more from Bills’ defense
‘A win today would show that they’re worthy of the preseason hype. If the Bills want to be a playoff team, the defense has to win road games when the offense struggles – as they did in 1999, the last time they finished above .500 on the road.’
Bills face depleted Jaguars
‘"It was impressive to get a win like that," linebacker Kawika Mitchell said after the Bills’ 34-10 thumping of Seattle, "but we’ve got 15 more (games to play)."’
Buffalo Bills Scouting Report

A Bill of goods?
‘”I had a good run in Jacksonville,” he said. “The fans were great to me while I was there. I don’t have any hard feelings towards Jack [Del Rio]. I’m sure he made a decision and has no hard feelings toward me. It’s just part of the game. The only thing that matters is that I was willing to work hard and get myself back to the level that I was playing at and potentially try to play better than that. I’m no longer a member of the Jaguars, so [how I play] doesn’t really matter to Jack. It’s more about satisfying myself and showing everybody that I can play.”‘
Jacksonville Jaguars wary of Buffalo Bills’ top unit
‘”I’m going to try not to get fired,” DeCamillis said when asked how to stop Parrish.’

Bills activate T Peters
‘The 26-year-old tackle missed all of Buffalo’s voluntary and mandatory offseason training activities as well as training camp. He had accumulated close to a half million dollars in fines and would have started sacrificing game checks had he not reported to the Bills prior to last weekend.’
