‘The Seahawks will be without their most reliable wide receiver (Bobby Engram) and probably without their most talented wide receiver (Deion Branch). They’ll be breaking in a new feature running back (Julius Jones replaces the departed Shaun Alexander). Engram, coming off his best season (94 catches for 1,147 yards and 6 TDs) has a broken shoulder. Branch is coming off major knee surgery.’

‘”Yeah, I’ll be getting more quality reps, and it’s always good to get those reps, but when you’re out there you have to make the most of it,” said receiver Justin Jenkins. “I’m going to do what I can, if it’s J.P. (Losman) or whoever’s in there. I just have to give the quarterback a good look, and if I’m open, hopefully they hit me with it. I’m just going to make the most of my opportunities.”‘

‘”It was very difficult and it is very difficult to get motivated, but with the help of friends, family, and my agent, we just keep pressing on,” Losman said. “You have to keep looking at that light. You have to keep saying something could happen, and you have to be ready for it.”‘

‘”I learn something different from them every day,” Corner said. “I constantly ask Will questions, I constantly ask Jabari questions – I’m pretty sure they’re tired of me asking all these questions but it never hurts to ask. A lot of times we’ll even use it when we’re playing at home just to get them used to the sound. It’s going to be very loud we believe on Sunday night.”‘

‘”Seeing some of our new guys in action, actually seeing them live as opposed to during OTAs with just helmets ,” he said, “to see those guys out there, to see the talent that we have, and those guys being able to display their skills, I think we’re really excited about what we have and what we can do this year. We know that as long as we play up to our ability, and do all of the right things – everything that we’re supposed to do – we should be in good shape.”‘

‘Bills wide receivers Roscoe Parrish and James Hardy will also likely sit out Sunday’s game. Parrish has a sore knee and Hardy is dealing with a sore hamstring.’

‘”It’s making minimal progress,” Edwards said.’

‘”I had spoken with coach briefly before today’s practice and he had said to me that I was not going to be available for this weekend’s game,” said Edwards following practice Friday. “So we’re going to be pretty precautious in terms of trying to get me 100 percent for the last preseason game and not take any risks and that’s kind of what I’m going with right now.”‘

‘Whatever happens on the field Sunday night figures to be overshadowed by the venue itself. Lucas Oil Stadium, a 63,000-seat, retractable-roof facility that cost a reported $720 million to build, will be hosting a major event for the first time. The facility replaces the RCA Dome, which had been the Colts’ home since their move from Baltimore in 1984, as the team’s field.’
