‘The nature of the conversation was to find out how the Bills are doing and fortunately that’s good news. The effort here to regionalize the team further into southern Ontario and into Toronto has been a very big success for the team and I think that’s something we’re all proud of , the fact that we can now make the team stronger here in western New York. That’s good for the team and it’s good for the fans.’

Training Camp Practice Report: July 28
‘Fullback Darian Barnes looked impressive during this period as he had good reps against some veteran players including Angelo Crowell.’
No disciplinary action for Lynch
‘"When we looked at the facts and at what happened after the initial report, it’s not a violation of our personal conduct policy," said Goodell.’
Schumer, Goodell, Wilson discuss issues surrounding Bills today
‘”When Ralph and the commissioner and I get together we talk about how we can further strengthen the Bills,” Schumer said. “We’ve had good luck so far and we’re going to keep working and working at it. I am confident in the Bills’ future because of these two leaders. Our goal is to make the Bills in Buffalo as strong as possible so they will stay here a very long time.”’
Ryan Newman to visit Bills
DT Johnson dedicating season to late father
‘"It was tough. It was a tough one to swallow," said Johnson. "We’ve got a strong family that’s close-knit with my aunties and my uncles. And they were there around the clock for my mom and myself and my sisters. Just the support of family helped us through it."’
Wilson has taken advantage of chances
‘”It’s night and day from last year,” Wilson said after Saturday’s second session of training camp at St. John Fisher. “Having a year of playing experience allows you to recognize things better. I can be more assertive and aggressive in how I play. I feel like I can be an impact player week in and week out with this team.”‘
Jackson looks to build on last year
‘”I was on cloud nine the whole season last year,” Jackson said. “Just being able to play in the last few games was the icing on the cake. Once I got the opportunity it was a blessing and I just wanted to take advantage of it.”‘
Goodell: NFL won’t discipline Lynch in hit-and-run
‘He could have faced criminal charges but reached a plea deal with prosecutors. The woman suffered a bruised hip and a cut to her thigh that required seven stitches.’
No discipline for Lynch
‘Goodell told the media that he spoke to Lynch about the back’s responsibility as an NFL player, and that he saw no need to discipline Lynch since the incident was reduced to a traffiic violation, according to WGR’s Brian Koziol.’
Mum’s not the word for postseason for Bills
‘”This should definitely be a playoff year for us,” said linebacker Paul Posluszny. “We have that type of attitude going into camp and we feel as long as we do all the right things we’ll be in good shape.”‘
Bills have upper hand with Peters
‘Peters wants a new deal? Fine. Talks can begin when he shows up for camp. Until he arrives, the Bills can keep collecting from him.’
The billboard
‘McKelvin said coaches have told him he will spend a lot of his practice time working in the nickel defense. McKelvin practiced mostly on the outside during spring work.’
If Bills’ Peters wants more money to work, he should work
‘No team was willing to draft Peters out of college, and the Bills took a chance on a raw block of clay that needed molding. They gave him a shot to make the roster before patiently converting him from tight end to tackle, and his fantastically grateful response has been to disregard the three years left on his compact. There was nothing confusing about the word “mandatory” when he ditched last month’s exercises, and by definition regular camp is a bigger deal than the mini one. He shouldn’t need that clarified.’
Bills rookie McKelvin eager to make up for lost time
‘"I think it was good that we got him in on a day when we had an opportunity to meet with him all morning," said Fewell. "He got a good visual and mental playbook session because he saw all four practices, we broke it down for him, and he saw what the guys were doing, and he had very good recall. Now we have to get him into the football movements and recognizing on the run."’
