‘There are a plethora of factors for anyone trying to figure out who should be credited for what successful attack on the football’s possessor, just as there are numerous restrictions on using the stat as the primary method for measuring defenders such as the quality of each player’s 10 coworkers. Still, a look at the Buffalo Bills’ tackle ranking in 2007 provides a fair picture of what the defense accomplished plus where it needs to improve.’

Bills put money on the line
‘The signing continued a trend by the Bills of targeting young talented players and signing them to extensions early in their careers. The Bills did that with Aaron Schobel, Terrence McGee, Brian Moorman, Roscoe Parrish and Peters.’
Senate approves designating ëTimothy J. Russert Highway’
‘The Senate on Wednesday passed by voice vote legislation naming a portion of Route 20A near Ralph Wilson Stadium “Timothy J. Russert Highway” in honor of the Buffalo-born NBC journalist who died June 13.’
The NFL in Toronto: Be very afraid, Canada
‘The NFL looks at Canada as obvious expansion country. It has football history, millions of NFL fans and geographical proximity. It’s ripe for the NFL’s picking. The CFL looks weak with recent franchise bankruptcies and no enthusiasm for building new stadiums. The Bills see limited opportunities in Buffalo, but Toronto is a large city, and corporations now influence sports with sponsorships, luxury seating and other corporate perks. The NFL will bring excitement.’
Bills’ Posluszny looks forward to restarting NFL career
‘”I was just frustrated because I wanted to play so bad,” he said. “I wanted to come in and start and do the best job I could at middle linebacker. They traded up for me in the draft, brought me here to play middle linebacker, play right away, and then I kind of failed them. I got hurt and wasn’t able to live up to the expectations of what I was supposed to do, so that was just tough to deal with.”‘

‘How in the name of O.J. Simpson did we get here?’
New logo unveiled for Bills Toronto Series
‘”The new logo was designed to reflect both the excitement and historic nature of the eight-game series,” said Russ Brandon, chief operating officer for the Buffalo Bills.’
Edwards air plan
‘"I’m planning on going out to visit with Lee and throw with him in Florida," said the California-based Edwards. "I’ll also probably be out in Arizona with Rob (Royal) and throwing with him."’

Bills need to finally start winning early and often
‘They better be ready to pounce and destroy from Week 1, as it turns out games in the first month count as much as those in the last. The Bills must remember that fact above all else if they want to kill their miserable drought, as their habit of frustratingly letting their earliest opportunities for victory escape is not a characteristic shared with playoff teams.’
Greed has no bounds
‘Today, at 11 a.m. the Bills Toronto Series organizers are bringing Bills’ safety Donte Whitner, and other sundry types to the dome. They’re going to unveil a local initiative with Toronto area high schools, the kind of thing the CFL and NFL used to partner together. This made-for-media event is being staged a full two months before the first Bills’ game here, but two days before the Argos’ pre-season game against the Ticats. It will be spread across radio, TV and the local bugles today and tomorrow, the 48 hours when most walk-up sales are made for CFL games. Still think this bunch doesn’t want to damage the Argonauts?’
Lynch silence in probe raises issue of added penalties
‘Joe DeLamielleure, a former Bills guard now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, said Lynch can still repair the damage that his image has suffered since the traffic incident. “Marshawn needs to do the right thing. . . . Face up to it like a man. Go and tell the truth,” DeLamielleure told The Buffalo News. “Whether he or someone else was driving, he needs to go to the police, tell them what happened. . . . Young men make mistakes, and he’s still at a point where Buffalo fans would forgive him if he tells the truth. The longer this [investigation] drags on, the worse it is for him.”‘
New Agreement Provides Franchise Graphics Service
‘”MMT is a respected and talented visual communications company and we are excited to continue our relationship with them,” stated Pete Petrella, Bills executive director of business development. “Our partnership allows us to provide Bills corporate partners, Bills fans, and our many visitors with a high quality display of signage and graphics throughout Ralph Wilson Stadium.”‘
Dockery and Moorman to get behind the mic
‘"I want to see what life is like after football," said Dockery. "So I thought this was a good opportunity to see where I stand as far as journalism. I’m excited about what this opportunity will bring because I had a chance to do a show last year so I learned a lot from that. Just looking to hone some skills, have fun with it and see where it takes me."’
