‘"That’s the biggest thing from last year, he wasn’t too sure of himself," Crowell said. "But now, he has the confidence to go out there and make those calls."’

Red Zone Emphasis
‘Red zone was a focus for the offense and defense during the majority of team work. Unfortunately during the first series rookie fullback Mike Viti went down with what appeared to be a lower left leg injury. He left the field early and did not return. Viti had just made a reception in the left flat and his leg was inadvertently rolled up on by a pursuing defender as he fell over the sideline. Not long after tight end Tim Massaquoi left practice early with an undisclosed injury as well.’
Recreating the Ralph
‘Using more than 600 pop-can tabs- which she bent to form seating- wrappers, Popsicle sticks and cardboard boxes, Arsenault constructed a full stadium with materials from home. “There were 528 chairs and we used more [pop tabs] than that,” Arsenault said. “Probably more than I can count.”‘
Stroud’s pursuit isn’t trivial
‘”You can see how I’m moving around,” Stroud says with a smile after practice. “We practice playing fast and running to the ball here, and that’s exactly how we’re going to start off and hopefully how we’ll finish.”‘
Bills should give Peters his pay raise
‘The Bills are paying Derrick Dockery $7 million a year at left guard. Langston Walker, the right tackle, is getting $5 million a season. It doesn’t seem wise to have Peters walking around as the third-highest- paid player on his own line.’
Bills have been given a gift that’s useful all year
‘There will be 350 days this year on which each NFL team won’t play a regular-season game, and the only thing organizations can do is upgrade in the downtime; thanks to shrewd moves that will complement recent bright young veterans, fans discussing this particular team’s prospects will tend to experience anticipation as opposed to trepidation as they are more likely to make statements about the Bills’ immediate future than ask questions.’
Another Defensive Day
‘"It happens every year you go away for four days and you come back and forget everything," said Schonert. "(Tuesday) was a review day and I think we had more busts than we had all last week. (It’s a) learning experience. You have those lulls in a game or distractions in a game where you have to bounce back. We had a four-day distraction and we didn’t handle it very well. Hopefully we bounce back from that and we get better."’
Beebe’s return helps make this year’s golf classic special
‘A couple of years ago, Beebe was invited by long-time coach Marv Levy to join the Bills’ coaching staff, but he turned down the offer. He and his family enjoy living near an array of relatives in Illinois and he is happy to be the head coach at Aurora Christian High School and his involvement in The House of Speed, the organization he founded soon after his pro career ended to help athletes improve their speed and quickness.’
