‘The Bills owner is apparently discouraged about the Bills long term future in Buffalo after NFL owners voted last week to loan the New York Giants and New York Jets $300 million dollars to build a new stadium. Wilson and the Cincinnati Bengals’ owner were the only two owners to vote against the loan. Published reports say Wilson voted “no” because he hasn’t been able get other owners to agree on rules for larger-market teams to help smaller-market teams through revenue sharing.’

‘Buffalo’s inability to sell its stadium out has led to owner Ralph Wilson’s frustration. Of course, he’s done his fair share to keep fans away over the years with poor decision making, but his anger in this case is understandable. This isn’t a 2-11 team; it’s a 6-7 group that has emerged as one of the hottest in the league in recent weeks. Wilson’s been a big part of the Bills’ six-year postseason drought, but that hasn’t held relevance over the last six weeks for his team, as Buffalo’s gone 4-2 since an Oct. 29 bye week.’

‘Buffalo is 4-1 in its last five meetings with the Dolphins, who posted a 21-0 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday in South Beach. The Bills are 2-3 against the division this season, and a loss on Sunday versus Miami would officially eliminate them from playoff contention.’

‘…the Bills are still mathematically alive for one of the two AFC wild-card playoff spots along with the 8-5 teams (Jacksonville and Cincinnati), the 7-6 clubs (Jets, Kansas City and Denver) and the other 6-7 teams (Miami and Pittsburgh). And while that faint hope figures to end Sunday, no matter what the Bills do against the Dolphins at “The Ralph,” this is clearly an improving team that’s showing some late-season reason for optimism. And that was hardly apparent seven weeks ago.’

‘Bergeron is 6-2, 190 pounds. He caught 105 passes for 1,372 yards and 31 touchdowns with the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League in 2005. His 1,372 receiving yards broke Oronde Gadsen’s AFL single season record for receiving.’

‘"My speed," said Bergeron of what stands out about his game. "If I didn’t run good 40’s I’d still be working at home. When you’re trying out for teams like the Falcons you need something that’s going to stand out to get their attention. So my 40-times I believe got their attention."’

‘Listed at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Bergeron is a former Arena Football League standout who has yet to play for an NFL team. He was signed by Atlanta in May but cut by the Falcons prior to the start of this season.’

‘"He’s as good a run down player as he is a pass rusher," said Bills defensive line coach Bill Kollar. "He’s not a situational guy, he plays most of the snaps in the game and does as well against the run as he does rushing the passer."’
