‘Both players, who were hurt in a 31-13 win against the New York Jets last weekend, worked out on a limited basis after missing practice Wednesday.’

Bills ’06 Draft Class Exceeding Expectations
‘"Like everybody we thought we had a good draft," said head coach Dick Jauron. "Clearly you don’t draft anybody that you don’t think is pretty good. It takes a while, sometimes a number of years to see who developed and who was a good pick and who wasn’t. Sometimes it’s luck and sometimes it’s skill. Our class has had to play quickly. A lot of them have had to go in there and play."’
Losman earns right to remain Bills starter going into next season
‘”He’s earned it,” Jauron told The Associated Press. “Nothing’s been handed to him. He’s done it the hard way. And I really believe he’ll keep working if not as hard, but harder. I think it’s important to him. It’s important to all of us.”‘
Bills get ticket extension from NFL
‘There was no reason given why the NFL granted the extension, but it’s possible the league realized that when it jockeyed the starting time from 1 p.m. to 4:05 and then back to 1 p.m., that it may have cost the Bills some ticket sales. The Bills have let it be known that tickets for 4 o’clock games are harder to sell.’
Buffalo-Miami Game Not Blacked Out…yet
‘The Buffalo Bills have requested and been granted an extension by the NFL to sell out Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins in Ralph Wilson Stadium at 1:00 pm.’
Bills cheerleader in a class apart
‘”She brings a lot of energy and positive outlook to teaching kids. She’s very student-centered,” says Burger principal Shaun Nelms, who also is in his first year in the Rush-Henrietta district. “She seems to make every student feel comfortable, and she’s always looking for ways to improve.”‘
Ralph Wilson Regarding Passing of Lamar Hunt
‘”Everyone who follows professional football has lost a great friend in the passing of Lamar Hunt. He was an unparalleled fighter battling a serious disease for 8 ½ years. He was responsible for bringing the game to all parts of the United States. He was respectful and generous to everybody. I have tears in my eyes in expressing my condolences to Norma and his family.”‘
Bills-Dolphins: A clash of the titans (sort of)
‘Despite the fact that both teams sport a sub-500. record and have little shot at the playoffs, the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins are pretty darn good.’
Meet Aaron Schobel
‘Nobody averages 10 sacks a year without having some special athletic gifts.’
Bills’ Fewell growing with his defense
‘There has been so much attention paid to the defensive rookies, it’s been easy to overlook the fact that Fewell is in his first season running a defense. Dick Jauron thought so highly of Fewell’s work as an NFL secondary coach that he brought him to Buffalo.’
Injured Peters, Spikes sit out practice
‘”Jason ended up with a bruise on his knee,” Bills coach Dick Jauron said. “Our medical staff is calling it a bone bruise, and it was pretty sore today. It just showed up. Surprisingly it didn’t bother him after the game, and it didn’t bother him the next two days. He came in today and said he got up and it was sore. They checked it out and we’ll see where that one goes.”‘
No stopping Bills’ Schobel, the sack master
‘”He has that burst; it’s unbelievable. I don’t know what his straight-on 40 time was, but when that quarterback is there, he finishes the play.”‘
Peters questionable for Miami game
‘The Bills are 4-2 since Peters shifted from right to left tackle during the Bills’ bye week. He has been a dominant force at times and helped spring running back Willis McGahee on a 58-yard touchdown run against the Jets.’
Bills should build stadium closer to Rochester
‘A site near Lancaster Raceway Park, only a few miles east of the first Buffalo Thruway exit, would be ideal.’
Inside slant
‘Of course, getting to Harrington and preventing him from getting the ball to a receiving corps led by four players with at least 49 catches each, will be a lot more difficult than getting to the hobbled Culpepper was. Miami’s tweaked offensive line is also performing better for coordinator Mike Mularkey, the Bills former head coach who makes his first return to Buffalo since quitting on the team last January.’
