‘On Patriots having Bills number being 11-1 in last 12 meetings – “The only way is to win, you can say all the other things but before you even get to game day on Sunday you have to do what is necessary throughout the week as far as preparation. I think we had a good day from this Wednesday and continue to do that on Thursday and Friday and make sure that every one is on the same mentally, as-well-as physically and put it out there on Sunday and see what happens.”‘

‘On teams mindset after tough losses – “Mindset is we are desperate for a win and that is the reality of it. None of us in this locker room should be satisfied with being satisfied being 2-4 that’s for sure. These last couple weeks have been rough. Chicago was the most embarrassing loss I have ever had in this league and last week, me personally, I felt we should have won the game. We made too many mistakes to lose it, so you have to give Detroit credit, but I thought we were the better team going into the game and we lost. It is disappointing and none of us want to be 2-4, but the reality is that is what we are and we have just go out there and try to win on Sunday.”‘

‘On a fresh start – "I don’t know if it’s a fresh start. There are some familiar faces here, Bill Kollar coached and directed me in St. Louis, so it has reunited me with him. Fresh start with a new team, yes; fresh start in the NFL, no; I have been here now going on my third season. It is a chance for me to show what I can do.”‘

‘On being dangerously close to slipping away – I say this all the time because I think it’s the truth. There’s always that sense. The games, there are so few of them, only 16, and they’re all unbelievably critical to you and this week is no different. We’re going to go about it like it’s the most important game of the year because it is. Do we have to win it? You don’t necessarily have to win it, but you want to win all of them, no more than the last one, no more than the next one. This is the one and we’re going to do everything we can to win this game. ‘On being sick of losing to the Patriots – What? I beat them my first year here, 31-0. I haven’t beaten them since I’ve been playing on the field though. They’re one of the teams that’s hard to beat. We have the talent. It just doesn’t fall our way in the end. We have to find a way to get over that hump.’

‘On what has been holding the offense back – It’s probably a combination of things that we see on film. I can sit up here and say a number of things why. A little thing here or a little thing here, but regardless, we have to get it done. People have to do their jobs to the best of their abilities on every play and play with a lot of enthusiasm on every play. Things can happen. The frustrating part is that we have the talent here and the right play calls, we just have to execute better.’

‘"I do believe J.P. is progressing," Jauron said. "That doesn’t mean I think he’s played all good games. I don’t. I know he thinks he hasn’t played all good games. But I do think the bad things that have happened to him he’s learning from and he’s going to get better. He’s getting better. And it matters to him and means a lot to him.
