‘Yea, there’s definitely progress. Its progress and then every once in awhile the coaches want to test us a little bit, put some extra in and change the formations and do some things and see what we need to work on. For the most part, we’re getting to where we want to be.’

‘On Takeo Spikes repetitions: He really just rotates… He hasn’t been with the first team nickel, but maybe that’s what you’re seeing. But he’s in there with the first team… In our sub-package we feel at this point it doesn’t make a lot of difference which group he’s out there with and we’ve still got plenty of time. We are just trying to get him the reps and quite frankly we’ve kind of handpicked some of the reps. It depends on what the offense is running.’

‘The offensive line is a question mark, but the bigger issue is the depth at the position. RT Jason Peters, RG Chris Villarrial, C Melvin Fowler, LG Tutan Reyes and LT Mike Gandy give the team an experienced first team. But their backups have little or no experience.’
