Bills Will Replace Wyche As QB’s Coach
‘Head coach Dick Jauron is still assembling his staff, but sources tell us the Bills are likely to retain at least three other offensive assistants. Offensive Line Coach Jim McNally is expected to return for another season along with Running Backs Coach Eric Studesville and Wide Receivers Coach Tyke Tolbert. The announcement may come in the next day or two.’
Bills talk to two about running defense
‘Fewell, 43, previously worked with Bills head coach Dick Jauron in Jacksonville in 1998. Jauron was defensive coordinator for the Jaguars that year, while Fewell was in his first year in the NFL as defensive backs coach. Fewell spent five seasons working in Jacksonville under head coach Tom Coughlin, then moved to St. Louis as defensive backs coach in 2003 and 2004. Fewell served under defensive coordinator Lovie Smith in St. Louis, then moved to Chicago when Smith got the Bears head coaching job.’

Texans do best to woo Sherman
‘Sherman also was pursued by teams that wanted to hire him as their offensive coordinator. He turned down the Bills and Jets. The Texans hope Kubiak can do what the Jets and Bills couldn’t – convince Sherman to coach again rather than sit out the 2006 season.’
