‘Wide receiver Roscoe Parrish, the Bills’ top draft pick out of the University of Miami who broke his right wrist in training camp, has been upgraded to questionable for the Jets game. His return would be a huge boost for a passing attack ranked 31st in the NFL. Parrish was enjoying an impressive training camp at the time of his injury. On Monday, he began catching passes and Wednesday did more work. “He’s surprised a lot of people,” coach Mike Mularkey said. “He really started on Monday with some soft tosses, just trying to get a good confidence builder in the hands. Today, I had him go as is and he did more than I anticipated. We’ll just see how it goes, see how it feels after a night of work like that, and then we’ll give him a once over on Sunday to see if he’s available. I’d like to see him come back tomorrow again and still be strong with the hands. But he caught the ball pretty well.”‘

‘”I’ve been in this situation before, so all the same feelings are starting to come back but you learn how to control them,” said Losman. “You get older, you mature as a person and realize for one second if you think you’re going to be upset about a decision or whatever, the next thing you know you’re right back in the fire. And if you’re thinking about what you’re not supposed to be thinking about it can catch up with you.”‘
NY Jets (2-3) at Buffalo (2-3)
‘Bills players were pleased with Holcomb’s performance. While the numbers were modest, they were enough for several veterans to voice their support for Holcomb and the presence he provided. “When you have a young guy, you don’t run a lot of plays that we ran today because he’s not used to seeing those types of defenses,” Buffalo receiver Eric Moulds said. “When you have a veteran guy that has played a long time, you can put more on display because he’s seen every kind of coverage.”’

‘"I think we’re killing ourselves as far as mental errors," running back Willis McGahee added. "It’s not the coaches. It’s something the players have to get together and handle."’
