Vincent to Host ‘Taste of Trenton’
Game times set for Saints home games
‘The Saints will play Buffalo on Oct. 2 and Atlanta on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. EDT in the Alamodome in San Antonio.’
Bills vs. Falcons Sold Out
‘The Bills have sold out 17 of their last 18 games.’
Bills-Falcons Gameday Advisory
‘New this season, every fan entering Ralph Wilson Stadium will be subject to a "pat-down" search in an effort to assure a safe and enjoyable game-day experience. Also, in an effort to expedite entrance to the stadium, the Bills and TicketMaster have partnered to scan tickets instead of tear tickets through the use of bar-code scanning devices.’
Atlanta (1-1) at Buffalo (1-1)
‘Falcons 20, Bills 12.’
Don’t overreact to JP benching
‘Losman won’t be looking over his shoulder. He’s not going to go to the bench at some point every week. He’ll learn from his mistakes and get better (it has to be better than Sunday). But he also has to know that he has a coach that is willing to make a move if he needs to and I think he can handle that.’
Bills’s young guns get a tough lesson
‘”From a preparation standpoint I’m learning more,” he admitted. “Coming off a win, maybe (I was) a little more relaxed, ‘I got it coach, I got it.’ But you don’t realize you’re going to play teams that are better and teams that are even better than that. You have to keep preparing and realize everything they’re saying is really that important. That’s something I learned last week.”‘
The Michael Vick experience
‘It’s little wonder the Falcons game was among the first on the Bills schedule to sell out, as Buffalo fans rushed to get a glimpse of the player who has been called “Superman in spikes” and “the Michael Jordan of the NFL.”‘
….So what do the Bills do?
‘”You have to be aware of (Schaub playing),” Bills outside linebacker Takeo Spikes said. “But at the same time, knowing Michael Vick, he’s a great competitor. You have to look at them as a 1-1 football team coming in on another away game. Who wants to be 1-2? So if Michael Vick is 60 percent or 70 percent he’s going to do whatever it takes to get on the football field.”‘
McGahee’s verbal dance is a bad move
‘It’ll all blow over if the Bills beat Atlanta and McGahee has a big game. The NFL is a long season. But it can be a fragile proposition from week to week. When a team begins losing, things can come apart quickly. The internal chemistry can go awrye.’
Injured trio hopes to play Sunday
‘Mularkey said Milloy had surgery to repair a thumb injury suffered in Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay. Milloy was wearing a cast on his right thumb and hand to protect what is believed to be a fracture of the thumb. Mularkey said Milloy could wear protective padding on the cast in the game. Milloy did not miss a play despite the injury in Tampa.’
George ‘Chink’ Sengel Obituary
‘In 1979 he was asked by old UK staff (61-62) coach, Chuck Knox, to come scout for the Buffalo Bills full time. He has been listed on the Bills website and information booklet as College Scout Emeritus. He was still active watching his beloved Bills play as late as last Sunday.’
Dads get the chance to be all-pros
‘The fact that Vincent, a five-time Pro Bowl player who has also received numerous awards for his charitable and humanitarian work, is a spokesman for All Pro Dad certainly doesn’t hurt. “It’s incredibly important to have a good spokesman and a good role model speak out on the issues of fatherhood,” Merrill said. “Professional athletes are all role models, whether they think they are or not. They’re either good role models or bad role models. Troy Vincent is neither. He’s an incredible role model.”‘
Reed Wins Week 2 Game Ball
‘How much was the heat a factor in the Bills performance at Tampa?
Josh Reed: It was pretty hot but I guess us being professionals we have to adjust better. For me, being from the south, I actually kind of liked it.’
