‘”There were times when I thought the offensive line was moving,” Mularkey remarked. “I think both sides of the ball were successful tonight. It was good work. We needed to work on the play-action with our defense. We’ll do that one more time before we go into the season.”‘

Bills O-line depth put to the test
‘Peters saw time at both offensive line and tight end as a rookie last season. He played tight end at Arkansas and is working his first camp as a full-time offensive lineman. “It was difficult getting the technique, all the blitzes and the reads,” said Peters. “I stayed here in Buffalo watching film and going over technique. Coach McNally knows the game. I just listen to him and take that onto the field.”‘
Remembering Hunter Kelly
‘I remember watching the candlelight vigils held on television, seeing so many people praying with Hunter and his family. I was struck by the strength of the little boy who continued to surpass the expectations of doctors year after year. I was struck by Jim Kelly’s love and passion for his son that showed he was a loving father, more than anything else. His strength of character was never portrayed greater than when he stood smiling at his wife, two daughters, and the boy he called “my soldier.”‘
Kelly will be grand marshal for Busch race
‘Kelly, who founded Hunter’s Hope Foundation with his wife, plans to address the crowd about the foundation during pre-race ceremonies Saturday.’
Moorman honored to help
‘Since Moorman came to Buffalo in 2001, he and his wife, Amber, have been active in helping pediatric cancer patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and at Women and Children’s Hospital. “I don’t do these things for awards or anything like that,” Moorman said. “We got involved in Roswell because it became our passion to be involved with the kids and try to make a difference. For this to come up, it’s really an honor.”‘
Clements isn’t elite in play, pay
‘He’s a good player and a proven playmaker, but he’s not an elite shut-down corner. Managing an NFL payroll is a delicate task. Donahoe hates overpaying for players; he should be careful about investing too much in Clements. No doubt, Donahoe will try to sign Clements early, as he did last year with Aaron Schobel.’
Update today on Parrish’s injury
‘Parrish was injured during one-on-one passing drills. He and cornerback Jabari Greer each jumped for a long pass, and Parrish came down hard onto the new synthetic surface at Growney Stadium. A visibly upset Parrish got up holding his right hand and trainer Bud Carpenter escorted him to the locker room.’
Parrish adds elusiveness and more to Bills offense
‘”Whatever they want, I’ll do it,” he was saying after a recent practice at St. John Fisher College while signing autographs for seemingly every spectator at Growney Stadium. “I’m confident I can still throw the football pretty good.”‘
Parrish Injures Arm
‘”Anytime somebody doesn’t finish a practice you always worry,” said head coach Mike Mularkey.’
Rookie Receiver Parrish Injures Wrist
‘It happened about an hour into the scheduled two-hour practice, when Parrish was running step-for-step with cornerback Jabari Greer up the right hash mark. Diving headfirst for a 40-yard pass thrown by Kelly Holcomb, Parrish missed the overthrown ball and seemed to land awkwardly on his wrist.’
Moulds Energized for 10th NFL Season
‘”I train with young guys,” Moulds said after Wednesday evening’s practice at St. John Fisher. “A lot of veteran players try to train with guys their own age, guys in their 30s. But I try to train with guys that are in their early twenties like Lee [Evans] and those guys who have got so much energy. They get you into your workouts. If you think you’re young and you workout with young people, you’ll stay young.”‘
Team Surprise, Parrish Injured
‘Head coach Mike Mularkey rewarded the team for a fast start at training camp by allowing them to take in a movie – instead of practice. The players had a choice of nine different movies and Mularkey joked they also had their pick at the concession stand as well.’
Parrish is catching on with the Bills
‘Hurricanes’ coach Larry Coker, who has a vast background for comparison, called the 5-9, 168-pound Parrish, “the most exciting player I’ve ever coached.” He started only 10 of 81 games for Miami, but averaged 16 yards on 81 receptions and scored 11 touchdowns while returning punts at a 13-yard clip and averaging 10 yards per carry every time he was handed the ball.’
Bills Training Camp: Wednesday’s report
‘You know the old saying… you can never be too rich, too thin or have too many cornerbacks. Or something like that. The Bills may have found a talented backup cornerback in the draft this year and so far fifth round pick Eric King has had a good camp and earned significant playing time as a backup and a nickel and dime corner.’
Line Looking Good
‘Says Williams, "Last year was a big stepping stone year for me. I felt that I finished off strong. I just want to start where I left off and build on top of that. So I think I’m on the right track as far as here in training camp."’
