Sabres will open new season at home
‘A notable conflict occurs on Saturday, Dec. 17 when the Sabres are to host the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:30. Also on that night, the Buffalo Bills are home to the Denver Broncos at Ralph Wilson Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. A Sabres’ official said an attempt was made to re-schedule the game to Pittsburgh, where the Sabres play a night earlier. Due to a previously scheduled event in the Penguins’ arena, however, the game could not be switched.’
