‘Though seven years removed from a football field and a Buffalo Bills uniform, Pike, at 6-foot-5, and 280 pounds, is still surrounded by bodies in motion. He and his partner, Chris Derry, own Better Bodies Fitness Center in Fort Mitchell, Silverlake Family Recreation Center in Erlanger, the Kentucky Elite North Cheerleading teams in Park Hills, and since last summer, an aquatic park – Paradise Breeze – in Maysville, which was added to their lineup of all things physical and recreational. “We have our noses in a few businesses,” says Pike of their enterprises. “We stay busy, that’s for sure.”‘

Palafox plays for World Bowl champs
‘Former Sweetwater High School and Angelo State University football player Jonathan Palafox recently completed his first year as a member of the NFL Europe’s Amsterdam Admirals, the team that he was assigned to after signing with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills as a free agent in February.’
All Pro Dad: Troy Vincent
‘BB: There’s no blueprint for raising children.
TV: There’s no protocol. Because every human being, every child is different. There is no script. When that kid’s going to be in a good mood, bad mood, when the kid gets hungry, when he doesn’t get hungry … there’s no script. There’s no manual. There’s no agenda that you can set, and say, "Okay, this is what we’re going to do today." You can plan it that way (laughs). But the reality is, when the kid wakes up, is he sick? Are Taron’s allergies acting up? Do we have to make a stop here? Do we have to make a stop here? Troy’s not feeling well. Desire’s not feeling well today. So those things change. Circumstances come up and you have to adjust. The most important thing is patience.’
Guitar auction will aid charity
‘Jim Kelly, Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback and Donald Boswsell, CEO of WNED, announced a collaborative project to raise money for charity and the arts, "Guitars for Hope."’
Bar raised for Losman in taking over as Bills starter
‘He has been so tireless in his studies that, short of having the locks changed at the team’s facility, Losman ignored the pleas and lectures of quarterback coach Sam Wyche to take a break.’
Vincent Leaves Lasting Impression on Youth
‘Vincent concluded practice with a profound speech stressing the importance of incorporating football’s discipline into life decisions." At the end of the program, I tried to talk to the kids a little bit about life skills," Vincent said. "As you get older, you’re always maturing. You’re always learning something new about yourself. The most important thing we stressed is that we want those kids to be productive citizens."’
Losman’s work ethic impresses teammates
‘”He’s been impressive with his approach,” Mularkey said. “He wants to do good. There’s no question there is a drive there. He had some days that I’m sure he’d tell you he’d like to take back. That’s expected. If he had come out here and performed like a 10-year veteran I’d have been shocked. But he had more better days than the other (kind), and that’s what you’re looking for.”‘
Surprise break given to players, coaches
‘”I’m pretty pleased where we’re at,” Mularkey said. “We learned a couple things offensively. We spent a little more time this week with less installation and more time teaching. Spent more time in the meeting as a whole and got a lot done. We learned a lot about players and what they were thinking, and I think the players learned a lot about each other.”‘
Henry suitors lining up, holding their offers
‘The hang-up, according to one Titans source, is the asking price. Publicly, the Bills have said they never wavered from a request of a third-round pick. Tennessee, at least, has said it won’t cough up what Buffalo is asking for.’
Bills motivated by last year’s frustrating finish
‘"Maybe it was a learning experience," guard Chris Villarrial said. "So don’t go home and lay on the couch and eat potato chips all day. Keep your butt in gear and work twice as hard and come into camp with a great attitude."’
Bills banged-up tight ends return to practice
‘Buffalo Bills tight ends Mark Campbell and Tim Euhus returned to practice this week, their first on-field session since both had knee surgery late last year. Coach Mike Mularkey said Thursday the two worked with the team Tuesday and Wednesday, the Bills’ final voluntary minicamp sessions before the start of training camp next month.’
Mularkey Rewards Four Weeks Of Hard Work
‘The team now has off until it reports to training camp on July 29th.’
Countdown to Training Camp Begins
‘Mularkey said he encouraged the players to take some time off so that they’ll be refreshed and ready to report to camp and get the season underway. “We’ve given them a workout program and it’s really designed for four of the six weeks so that they can get away for a couple of weeks,” said Mularkey.’
OTAs Set Stage for Camp
‘”This whole process couldn’t have been better,” said Mularkey. “I don’t know how other teams in the league handle this time of year and what they get accomplished, but here it’s been really good.”‘
Anthem Singers Travel From Afar
‘So how did it go? Most contestants were satisfied with their performances, but many found it tough to perform with the delay between when they sang and when it was actually heard through the stadium’s sound system.’
