‘Although most observers believe DT Tim Anderson will succeed free-agent defector Pat Williams and start alongside Pro Bowl lineman Sam Adams, Ron Edwards has a great shot to replace Williams. Edwards has gotten most of the snaps with the starting defense during the organized team activities. A full-time starter in 2002, Edwards has been an effective pass rusher the past two seasons, displaying the quickness to shoot through gaps and beat blocks. He’s got the size (6-3, 320) and strength to be a good run stopper if he plays hard on every snap.’
