‘In the meantime, Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly and his son, Hunter, will be celebrating their shared Valentine’s Day birthday at the Buffalo Bills Field House instead of Chestnut Ridge Park, which for five years has been the site of Hunter’s Day of Hope for Children but is now closed due to the county’s fiscal plight. The annual event raises research money for nervous system diseases, like the deadly Krabbe’s disease that afflicts Hunter.’

You have to tip your cap to Moulds
‘Moulds hasn’t always been happy playing for the Bills. He’s complained at times about the offense and his role in it. There were times he wondered if he had a future in Buffalo. But those feelings were born out of frustration. There’s no place Moulds would rather be than Buffalo. He likes living and playing here. There is something to be said for loyalty, and agreeing to a contract extension shows that Moulds is committed to the Bills.’
South O’Brien to honor hometown hero
‘The Bills have exclusive free rights to Stamer, so he’ll find out around March 1 whether he’ll be playing there again next season. If he does, Buffalo can sign him for the third-year minimum salary. That, of course, is the the probable scenario, but if the Bills don’t sign him, then he’ll try to catch on with another team.’
Moulds Contract Extension
‘Moulds is signed through the 2006 season, the result of a six year extension agreed to in 2001. The new deal would allow the Bills to receive salary cap relief for 2005.’
Bills Defense Looks to Shine in Hawaii
‘"Collectively, when you have someone get selected for something like this it stands for a unit being successful," Adams said upon hearing he had been selected to his third Pro Bowl. "One person can’t have any success without 10 other guys being there. If one person on the defense isn’t doing their job then it’s going to be a bad defense. When you have a solid defense that makes plays you have people that get recognized and it’s because of everyone."’
Offseason Game Plan: Bills
‘Once the Henry situation is resolved, all eyes will be on the expected quarterback battle between veteran Drew Bledsoe and 2004 first-round pick J.P. Losman. Bledsoe had a decent 2004, but the Bills didn’t trade up for Losman just to keep him on the bench. Even if Bledsoe gets the starting nod, he’ll probably be just a poor outing or two away from giving up the keys to his young understudy.’
Moulds to get new deal
‘While terms of the negotiations were not available, Moulds will likely receive just as much money this year, but his cap figure would go down significantly because the money would get spread out, for cap purposes, for more seasons.’
Pochman Looking to Kick Start NFL Career
‘"I was out of football all last year and I’ve worked really hard on my form and the flaws that I had before to cause me to lose a job and be out of football for a year," Pochman said from his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. "I really worked hard and I’m hoping to go over to NFL Europe and show everybody I still have what it takes to become a successful kicker in the NFL."’
The real money players
‘Lawyer Milloy’s little ditty during a recent interview on WEEI had to be one of the most ridiculous lines ever uttered by an athlete.’
Much more than money
‘Lawyer Milloy looks like such a fool today.’

Birds emotional favorite, but Pats the better team
[written by Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Ross Tucker]
‘If the Patriots played the Eagles 10 times, I think the Patriots would win seven or eight.’
Bills Team Report
‘After a strong rookie year, WR Josh Reed’s play has been in decline the past two seasons. He needs to a strong offseason to show the team he still can be an effective No. 3 receiver. Reed is a good route runner, but needs to get more separation from defenders. He entered the NFL with a reputation as a sure-handed receiver. But he’s dropped an alarming number of passes the past two seasons. He has to strengthen his concentration and play with more confidence. If Reed doesn’t show progress, the team will replace him with someone on the roster or in free agency and/or the draft.’
Athletes in Action honors 2 ex-Eagles
‘"I talked to Troy yesterday [Friday] and this morning. He wanted to be here. In sports and [with] the great athletes that have been recognized, this is one of the most coveted awards in the NFL," Carter said. "He was humbled by being able to receive the award. He told me, ‘Cris, now that you’ll be there, I don’t have to worry about it. I can just concentrate and take care of my family.’"’
